(The show opens with a beautiful shot of the beach. The glimmering sand, the sparkling water, and the sun rising in the distance. There’s a man on the beach preparing for the show, when the camera cuts to a gym bag being carried across the beach. It has the name “Richard Rider” emblazoned upon it, and soon it’s revealed that it, of course, is in possession of The Squid-Man, who hands it to his tag team partner Spuds Guzzman Jr.)
Spuds Guzzman Jr.: Aw hey, you got me my new potato carryin’ case! Thanks, buddy!
The Squid-Man: I am a squid.
Spuds Guzzman Jr.: Ha ha, yeah, ain’t that the truth.
(He starts loading the potatoes into the newly-acquired gym bag, when the man approaches them.)
Man: Excuse me! Excuse me, you two, this is a private beach!
Spuds Guzzman Jr.: Oh, we’re with the crew that’s gonna be coming by here.
Man: Oh, you’re part of that? Sorry about that, I was a little too hasty.
(As he’s talking, Squid-Man looks over to the ocean and gasps, walking towards it.)
Man: Um… hey, buddy? You… you doing okay?
The Squid-Man: I am a squid.
Man: Sir? SIR?
(He starts jogging after him, as Squid-Man gets into the water.)
Man: Sir, you’re not wearing a bathing suit! SIR!
Spuds Guzzman Jr.: Let him go. He’s earned this.
(He takes a big bite out of a potato.)
Man: Is that an uncooked potato!?
Spuds Guzzman Jr.: Yep, it sure is. You want a bite?
Man: Ew, no!
Spuds Guzzman Jr.: Good.
(He takes another large bite of the potato, as the Squid-Man dives into the water, the water splashing up and making the logo for Destiny, with the words “Pre-Show” coming up underneath.)
(The cameras cut to a large desk set up under a tent on the beach. The sun was shining and you could see people playing on the beach in the background. Sitting at the table, from left to right, were Josiah Cena, Star Stormz, Tayna Reihl, Nick Madison, and Laura Phoenix. All of them appear… confused… with looks of nothing short of bewilderment across their faces)
Tayna Reihl: Well…that was…
Josiah Cena: ...I…
Star Stormz: Uh..I don't even..
Laura Phoenix: Da hell?
Nick Madison: Da’ fuck was that?
Tayna Reihl: Aaaand there goes the swear censors.
Laura Phoenix: I mean…with us on here, are you surprised?
Josiah Cena: Sheee’s not wrong, you know.
Tayna Reihl: I suppose you’re right…ANYWAYS, hello everyone, and welcome to the night one pre-show for Destiny! I’m your host, Tayna Reihl, and tonight I’m joined on the panel by PWS Hall of Famer, Josiah Cena…
(Josiah gives a nod to the camera.)
Tayna Rehil: PWS: APEX co-owner and C.E.O. Star Stormz…
(Star gives a friendly wave to the camera.)
Tayna Reihl: And joining us tonight are two of…quite possibly two of the most influential people in PWS history. I am, of course, talking about PWS Hall of Famers, Nick Madison and Laura Phoenix.
Nick Madison: Ha, she said my name first. First means best.
Laura Phoenix: You want me to deck you already?
(Star stifles a small chuckle at their interaction.)
Tayna Reihl: Easy kids. Play nice. So, before we jump into talking about some of tonight's festivities… We started off Destiny weekend strong with an amazing Hall of Fame induction ceremony last night. I want to send my most heartfelt congratulations to those inducted, it is more than well deserved.
Star Stormz: And yes, for those who are wondering, Candy insisted that Fluffy get her own Hall of Fame collar. And, yes, we couldn’t help but fulfill that for her. I did enjoy getting to see Alpha Dog and Daz back in the spotlight. Reminded me of the good ole days.
Nick Madison: Highlight for me was seeing Art go in. The work that man has done for this business is unparalleled, so it was really great to see him get that honor. Even if his speech really tugged at my heart strings.
Laura Phoenix: Weee’re not even gonna talk about that speech. Though, seeing Art go in was great, as was seeing all of our inductees. Freaking figures about Candy and Fluffy. Still don’t know how they managed to get Julie Andrews to do the voice for Fluffy…but it was cute.
Josiah Cena: Yeah, it was a great show from top to bottom. Congrats to all of our new Hall of Famers.
Tayna Reihl: Yes, here here. But that was last night, and tonight…we kick off the biggest event of the year, as it’s night one of Destiny! We have some great matches to discuss, as well as a match we’re having here on the pre-show, as Max Delgado…
Laura Phoenix: Boohoo
Tayna Reihl: Takes on Richard Rider…
Laura Phoenix: Also boohoo…
Tayna Reihl: In an extreme rules match. I take it you have some thoughts on this one, Laura?
Laura Phoenix: You could say that. For weeks, this Delgado kid has tried to do whatever he can to get under my skin. He’s talked shit about me, my family, everything. So I, for one, am hoping to see him get his ass kicked tonight..just sucks it’s Rider…cause…well…it’s Rider.
Nick Madison: I dunno…there’s something about Max. Something about him almost reminds me of a young me. He says what he wants, and isn’t afraid of who it rubs the wrong way.
Josiah Cena: I dunno…I think I gotta side with Laura on this one. You can say what you want…but going after your bosses isn’t exactly the smartest idea.
Star Stormz: See, I don’t think he has really said or done anything so bad. He has an opinion on things, as we all do, and he sees things his own way. I just WISH I could figure out why he seems familiar… and who his dad is. Because he has said a few times that his dad was around back in the old PWS days… I just can’t place my finger on it.
Tayna Rehil: We have looked, and there are no Delgados in PWS records before Max.
Star Stormz: Trust me… I’ve looked too.
Nick Madison: We sure it’s not another one of Eddie’s? Cause…ya know…man whore?
Josiah Cena: Yeah but, he doesn’t…look like Eddie.
Tayna Reihl: Nick is speaking, of course of Eddie Lopez, who will be in our main event tonight, as he has his last match, against his daughter, Gracie Lopez. Which…on the subject of that match, what are your guys’s thoughts?
No Holds Barred
Special Guest Referee: Crystal Lopez
Eddie Lopez vs. Gracie Lopez
Special Guest Referee: Crystal Lopez
Eddie Lopez vs. Gracie Lopez
Star Stormz: I have mixed feelings on this match, to be honest. I love the intensity involved… but you know those damn Lopez’s always take things to the next level. I don’t like that I had to put someone who has no business in a wrestling ring as the referee because no one else wanted to do it. It’s going to be a crazy emotional match, and I think at least one of them is not going to be able to walk for a few days. I love that Eddie is having his final match with someone as good and close to him as Gracie… but damn couldn’t they have gone about it an easier way???
Nick Madison: I mean…it’s not like we weren’t just here with me and Bella…seriously though, this one has been interesting to watch for a number of reasons. I don’t really have a preference as to who I want to win. Eddie and I have so much history, and it would be nice to see him win on his way out, but Gracie is the next generation, and following in her father’s footsteps. Either way, I think this is gonna be one hell of a match.
Josiah Cena: Yeah, I’ve known Eddie for a long while now, and for the past…I’d say a couple years, he’s said he wanted Gracie to be his last match. Pretty much since she started training, he always had this dream of it, just didn’t say anything about it. The man has done a lot in this business, so it will be good to see him get to ride off in the sunset, so to speak.
Tayna Rehil: Do we think Crystal being the special referee will play a part?
Laura Phoenix: It’d be stupid to say it won’t. It’ll be interesting to see how she handles everything, given her position to both competitors. Eddie and I may have been at odds within the past year, but I think this is a fitting retirement match for him to call it quits on.
Star Stormz: It is for sure the best way for him to end his in-ring career. But that doesn’t do anything to help my concern for Crystal in this match. You all saw what they did to the referees in a backstage brawl that caused all the referees to refuse to do it. I know how these two are in the ring, and if they are so focused on each other, Crystal doesn’t have the ring awareness that a trained professional does. I think that is a bigger concern than if she is going to call it down the middle or not.
Tayna Reihl: So… it’s that time. Predictions?
Josiah Cena: I’m gonna go with Eddie.
Nick Madison: I gotta go with Gracie.
Laura Phoenix: Nothing against Eddie, but I’m also gonna go with Gracie.
Star Stormz: Tough call… but I think I gotta put my money on Gracie.
Tayna Reihl: Interesting choices there. Either way, it’s going to be brutal for the legend and the next generation wrestlers. Speaking of the next generation… There's another match going on tonight that features a next gen superstar. None other than the talented daughter of our general manager… Bella Madison… as she and her husband Malachi defend their titles against Tyson Sykes and Alexander Lyons in the rematch for Antithesis. Now I am sure you all have some strong insight and input on THIS match?
PWS: APEX Tag Team Championship
Tag-Team Match
Antithesis (A. Lyons & T. Sykes) vs. Sass N’ Bash (B. Madison & Malachi)
Tag-Team Match
Antithesis (A. Lyons & T. Sykes) vs. Sass N’ Bash (B. Madison & Malachi)
Laura Phoenix: I probably should refrain from talking about this match…conflict of interest and all.
Nick Madison: Yeah, she has a point.
Josiah Cena: Well, I got no conflict of interest, so I’ll talk about it. I’m looking forward to this one, to see if the new champs can hold their own against the former champs. Antithesis has been really trying to make an impact here in PWS: APEX, and a win here would go a long way in doing that. Bella and Mal are certainly gonna have their work cut out for them.
Star Stormz: Bella and Mal have done amazing, and both have come so far. To see them work as a team in the ring has been amazing. But Antithesis… they are coming for blood. Especially Tyson Sykes. He wasn’t even involved in the match that cost him to lose the belts, so as one would expect he wants to “right” that “wrong”.
Tayna Reihl: Some interesting insights… I know Nick and Laura aren’t going to take a prediction, but who do you guys think is gonna walk out with the titles? Sass N Bash or Antithesis?
Star Stormz: I’m sorry guys… but I gotta put my money on Antithesis here. Specifically on Sykes.
Josiah Cena: That’s fair, he is a hell of a talent, and Lyons is no slouch, either. But, I’m gonna have to go with Sass N Bash on this one. I think they have too much to lose, and have the better chemistry. So, my money is on Bella and Mal.
Tayna Reihl: Some fair and quite different opinions. I guess we will see when the time comes. But for now… it’s time for our pre show match between Max Delgado and Richard Rider!
Pre-Show Match
Extreme Rules Match
Max Delgado vs. Richard Rider
(The match starts off with a simple collar and elbow tie up and quickly turns into Max seemingly schooling Rider with moves and counter moves in an almost lucha style chain version that is keeping Rider very off balance. Rider goes for a roundhouse kick which Max ducks and Delgado traps Rider’s leg and goes for a submission but Rider quickly thinks and grabs the bottom rope forcing the break. )
JR Freeman: Rider thinking quick on his feet.
Alfonso Banks: That’s all well and good… but for the love of god I hope Max doesn’t mess up his face.
(Max shakes it off and goes back heavy on Rider, keeping the match at a rather high pace before he decides to bring in the weapons. He slides to the outside and reaches under the ring and he pulls out what looks to be… a huge black dildo on a stick. Max looks kind of disturbed and confused but shrugs as he slides in the ring with it.)
Alfonso Banks: When did Heather Haze start leaving things under the ring?
(He holds it up like a bat and as soon as Rider stands up he BAM slaps him across the face with it.)
Alfonso Banks: WHAT THE HELL??
JR Freeman: DID HE JUST USE A…
Alfonso Banks: DICK RIDER JUST GOT DICK SLAPPED!
(Max tosses the offensive weapon out of the ring and goes for a pin in Rider.)
1…2… KICKOUT!
(Rider kicks out and the match continues on for a few more minutes, a little back and forth but mostly Max beating on Rider. Max pulls out a kendo stick and proceeds to leave bright red marks across Rider’s back. He picks Rider up to his feet and drops him to the mat with a hard El Dorado before going for the pin.)
1…2…3!!!
DING DING DING
WINNER - MAX DELGADO
(The cameras cut back to the desk)
Tayna Reihl: Well, Max sure didn’t hold anything back there.
Star Stormz: I ALMOST feel sorry for Rider. Almost.
Josiah Cena: Dude got his ass kicked. Good match there.
Laura Phoenix: Even though it pains me…good win there by Delgado. Though, it was only Rider.
Nick Madison: Still, a win is a win. Good on him, now he can enjoy the weekend.
Tayna Reihl: Congratulations to Max Delgado, but let’s move onto our next match, and this one is deeply personal, as it’s the ‘Three Stages of Hell’ match between Mike Hawk and Jonathan Sanders.
Three Stages of Hell
Stage 1: Barbed Wire Rope Death Match, Stage 2: Steel Cage, Stage 3: Last Man Standing.
Jonathan Sanders vs. Mike Hawk
Stage 1: Barbed Wire Rope Death Match, Stage 2: Steel Cage, Stage 3: Last Man Standing.
Jonathan Sanders vs. Mike Hawk
Star Stormz: This one goes all the way back to Crusade when Hawk cashed in his Destination Next case to take the Collateral Damage Title from Sanders after he just retained against Miss Puppies. Talk about a DICK move.
Josiah Cena: Yeah, then used the “cash in” clause to get himself into the Elimination Chamber at Demon’s Run for the world title, which sent Sanders in a tailspin of madness…
Laura Phoenix: As if he wasn’t in one already..
Josiah Cena: Maybe, but that incensed him even more, to the point he wanted in the chamber, also to win the world title, but mainly to get revenge on Hawk. These two genuinely hate each other, and I don’t know which way this one is going to go, but I do one thing. It’s going to be violent, it’s going to be bloody, and neither man will leave the same after tonight.
Nick Madison: Jonathan Sanders is a psycho. There’s not anything I don’t think he’s willing to do to himself to ensure the destruction of his opponent.
Tayna Rehild: Anything, you say? Like moonsaulting off a production truck, through a ladder and a trash can?
(Tayna smirks at Nick.)
Laura Phoenix: She got you, there…how did Art put it last night? Crazy sumbitch?
Nick Madison: Hey…made for good tv? Either way, I think this one isn’t gonna be for the faint of heart. Like Josiah said, this one’s gonna be very violent. I almost wonder if Hawk has what it takes to step down to that place Sanders operates at. I mean, after seeing him in the chamber, I know he does…but this is just..a whole different monster.
Tayna Reihl: Predictions?
Josiah Cena: I’m gonna go with Sanders. This just seems like too much of his element. I think Hawk will put up a great fight, but Sanders will be too much.
Nick Madison: Well, I have to go with Mike Hawk…
Laura Phoenix: Course you do…
Josiah Cena: Giggity?
Laura Phoenix: Shut it.
Nick Madison: What I’m trying to say is this is kind of a must-win for Hawk. If he loses this, where does he go? Does he really wanna be known as the one-trick pony comedy guy? Or does he wanna show that he can get crazy violent with the best of them? I think tonight could be a breakout night for Hawk. No disrespect to Sanders, it’s gonna be a brutal fight.
Star Stormz: I’d bet money on Sanders. He’s pissed. He’s been pissed. Hawk really poked the wrong dragon with this one. He is over confident and cocky… and that’s gonna cost him. Plus… I kiiiiiiinda wanna see Sanders finally get his revenge on that massive asshole move Hawk pulled on him. Karma!
Laura Phoenix: I feel like I’ve been saved last for a reason. Look, Mike has been an absolute pain in my ass since he signed with the company but we all have seen it, he actually has an amazing potential to be something in this company. If he can actually stay serious and realize that he is in an absolute fight for his career and perhaps even his life, I will say that this is Hawk’s match to LOSE. NOW, with that said Sanders needs to keep that ego and that whole anger issue he has going on, under control because you better believe that Hawk is going to do everything he can to get even deeper under Jonathan’s skin. At the end of the day, I’m going to go with Hawk because like Nick said he needs this win. But man, I feel for the next person to stand across the ring from Sanders after this.
Tayna Rehil: Interesting. Now, I wanted to take some time to talk about some news that broke the other day, as Ambika Renton has announced that she will be stepping down from the company following Destiny. It seems she’s handing the reins of PWS: APEX back to you, Star.
Star Stormz: Yes, that is indeed the case. As she said on Twitter her position was always meant to be a temporary helping hand while I took the time I needed. Of course I am not pushing her out by any means… just because I have been back in full swing for a while now. I would love for her to stay, I enjoyed having her in the back. Her work was flawless and she truly was an asset to the company. But I understand that it’s time for her to move onwards and upwards. And I have the highest respect for her, and I sincerely wish her the best. That being said… the position of President is available. I have been talking to David Shane since her announcement and a few names of a replacement have been floating around.
Tayna Reihl: Care to share any of those names?
(Star smirks softly, raising a finger to her lips as if to say “shhh””)
Star Stormz: Spoilers.
Laura Phoenix: Okay, River…
(Star shrugs with a bit of a smirk on her face)
Star Stormz: You got me… but in all seriousness, until it’s official I am not at liberty to say.
Laura Phoenix: Ambika has become not only a close coworker but also a close friend. I had a feeling that this was coming because like she said, it wasn’t supposed to be a permanent situation. All I know is once Destiny wraps up, we’re going to celebrate this whole weekend and her time with us and I can’t wait to see what she has in store for her next. I will miss her.
Josiah Cena: It was an honor to work with her, and she will be missed. I echo everyone’s sentiment, and she is more than welcome to visit any time she wants.
Nick Madison: I still remember when she contacted me to come back and face Jack at Crusade. She always made me feel like a big deal, and she was great to work with. I’m interested to see what the next chapter in her life brings her, and best believe I’ll be cheering for her all the way, as she did for me.
Tayna Reihl: Seems everyone is sad to see her go, but happy for her future at the same time. Now, we are almost out of time as Destiny Night 1 will be going live in less than 15 minutes and we still have one more match to talk about… the United Title Triple Threat match! Alexis Makarios has had a hell of a year. But so have Kallie Reznik and Cleo Philips. Thoughts on this one?
PWS: APEX United Championship
Triple Threat Match

Triple Threat Match
Alexis Makarios © vs. Kallie Reznik vs. Cleo Phillips
Josiah Cena: I think this one has the potential to steal the show. Each of these three young ladies deserves this spot, and I think they are all three hungry for it. This one is gonna be good, and I’m really looking forward to it.
Nick Madison: Yeah, you’ve got the champ, Alexis, what a year she’s had…and you’ve got the former champ, Cleo, who is looking to get her title back, and then there’s the wildcard in Kallie Reznik. No matter who walks out with the title tonight, the fans will be the real winners.
Star Stormz: But this match is so much more than a match for these three. It’s about proving a point. Alexis is trying to prove that she is better than ever. Cleo is trying to prove that she is worthy of the praise she gets and worthy of a World Title shot. And Kallie is trying to prove that she belongs in the big leagues. It’s going to be explosive, it’s going to be fast paced, and if I know ANYTHING about these ladies- especially Alexis- there’s going to be some wild high flying move that will leave us stunned whether it works or not. They’ve had their challenges along the way, but the fact that these three go into this match with respect for each other… is a game changer!
Laura Phoenix: I’m going to be flat out honest with you, Alexis has one hell of a battle here in front of her. Now, we have all seen how she can crack under the pressure but that was then, THIS is now. Nothing like good ole fashion championship pressure to really put to the test everything she has endured. Also we all know how Cleo is. The woman is in the record books as the longest United Champion on record with World Title aspirations. Admiring everything that she has overcome in her past as well, you know damn well she is more than capable of spoiling Alexis’ ever growing momentum. And then you got Kallie, nothing against what you said Star but Kallie has proven that she does belong. She has picked up some big wins and honestly earned her way into this match. All three are going to bring it.
Tayna Reihl: Such high praise! Now it’s time to get critical. Who do you think will walk out of Destiny Night 1 as the United Champion?
Star Stormz: I gotta go with the wildcard. I think Kallie has a huge future ahead of her, and this is step one.
Nick Madison: It’s gonna be a tough match, but I think I gotta go with Alexis. I think this means too much to her, and she’ll find a way of holding onto the title…she does have a way of doing that in big matches.
Josiah Cena: I think I’m gonna agree with Nick on this one. I think Alexis has it, though I wouldn’t be shocked to see either Cleo or Kallie walk out with the title. Any of these three deserve the win, but I just think it’s going to be Alexis that gets it done.
Laura Phoenix: Once again, if there was such a thing as a 3 sided coin, flip it and you could see potentially any of these ladies walk away from this match tonight the United Champion, but at the end I’m going to go with the hungriest of them all and that is Kallie.
Tayna Reihl: Some great thoughts, but folks, that’s all the time we have. Be sure to keep it here to catch all the action, as PWS: APEX presents the 2022 edition of Destiny, night one!
