As the scene opens, we see the backside of Cleo Phillips looking at a poster of PWS World Champion Sierra Williams, who she issued a challenge to, and while it wasn’t denied, Sierra had other plans with Audrey Russow, and Alexis Makarios issued a challenge, and where Cleo comes from being challenged means something different, it’s not something you can just walk away from, so for the time being it would happen that Cleo put her World Championship dreams aside, to have a chance at becoming a two time United Champion. It also wouldn’t be the first time she would have to wait for something she felt she deserved.
As she looks over the poster, we hear the sounds of Lupe Fiasco’s “The Show Goes On” start to play.
Alright, already, the show goes on All night, 'til the morning we dream so long Anybody ever wonder When they would see the sun up Just remember when you come up The show goes on
As Cleo sighs, the poster of Sierra turns to flame, as if burning her dreams of becoming World Champion, she then turns to face the camera, tipping her Anaheim Angels ballcap in respectful fashion to the fans watching.
“My time will come fam’, don’t worry.” she said reassuringly to any of her fans who may be discontent with Team Cleo having to wait for a world championship opportunity., “You always gotta look at the positives of the situation. While I may not get my world title opportunity yet, I do get the chance to do something nobody else in this company has done, and that’s become a TWO time United Champion.”
She flashes two fingers at the camera, with a confident grin on her face.
“But that’s at Destiny, and we’ll get to that in due time.” she said with a nod, “Because what comes at Riot, will be nothing short of an old fashioned brawl. Before we meet at Destiny, Kallie, Alexis and myself are going to have to team up, and I’m sure the hopes is to create some tension between us for the match at Destiny. However all you really did was potentially create one of the most powerful female trios of all time. I’m talking Charlies Angels, Powerpuff Girls, or even those witches from Hocus Pocus. We’re going to tear the house down at Destiny, but teaming us TOGETHER? That just spells disaster for whomever is on the opposing team.”
Cleo continues show her usual confidence in her tone, and body language, as she leans back against the wall where the some of the remains of the Sierra poster still hang.
“I mean, look at Kallie, who no doubt is the heart and soul. Kallie brings this sweet innocent to the team, but that doesn’t mean she’s weak. That innocent face and sweet smile will distract you long enough for her to slap you straight in the mouth, and still seem sweet while she’s doing it.” Cleo explained, “Then you have Alexis. A woman who has no quit in her. A woman who has fought through some tough battles with her own mind, and yet that didn’t break her. In fact it made her stronger, she fought off her mental demons and is much more dangerous now because of it. She’s smarter, faster and stronger. Most importantly, she’s the United Champion and I can tell you with one hundred percent certainty, she did not become champion by accident. Which brings me to our third member of the team, me.”
She raps her finger against her chest a couple times.
“Fighting is what I do. It’s what I knew growing up, and it’s always been prominent in my life. I bring a willingness to bring things to a different level, really raise the stakes and make those who go against me truly reach down and find something deep down they didn’t know they had. I’m the one willing to get dirty and throw some hands.” Cleo continued, “You mix that tough sweetness, that ability to overcome any odds, and the willingness to fight till the bitter end you get a team that is going to be near impossible to overcome. Yet, on the other side, we do have quite the obstacle ourselves to overcome don’t we.?”
As confident as she is in her team, she knows that they are up against a team consisting of only champions, a real championship team one might say.
“I mean Sass and Bash are a team in every sense of the word, they hold those championships for a reason. Love can be a very powerful factor to overcome, it’s not just for fairy tales. True love means you work better together, you work like a more well oiled machine because you understand one another better than anyone else. Their teamwork brought them to the championships because it’s real.” Cleo said, respect clear in the tone of her voice, “Then of course we have Sierra Williams.”
Cleo smiles, looking directly at the camera, readjusting her signature shades.
“Don’t worry. I don’t think you’re ducking me or anything. That’s not your style, your a fighting champion and you don’t duck anyone.” Cleo began, “But you best believe I’m going to take this time to remind you just why I deserve my own championship match. Now, I can be respectful and let you finish your business with Audrey, but understand that I’m lurking right around the corner waiting for my opportunity and if I’m not United Champion after Destiny then TRUST that I’m coming straight for that championship. I’m not going to keep waiting my turn forever. I’ve been playing that game my whole life.”
She lets out a heavy sigh, the subject of being told to wait in favor of someone else hits a little personal with her, and while she knows there was no ill intention on the part of Sierra Williams, PWS Management or anyone else it all still felt like the same old story.
“You know, there was a time before I started hanging out on the streets and getting into trouble with the law. When I was still an innocent child. My third grade spelling bee. The prize was 10,000 dollars to a scholarship. I ended up taking second to a girl named Abigail Jones. Truthfully we ended in a tie and the school board had to make a decision. They chose her in the end and at the time I didn’t understand why.” Cleo explained, "Looking back as an adult I can see it now, Mr and Mrs. Jones were well off, one was a doctor one was a lawyer I was just some minority girl from the projects who had an alcoholic mother and didn’t even know her father. They needed those perfect family pictures for the newspaper. So all I got was a cheap silver trophy and a “better luck next year”. Some of my aunties told me they also gave Abigail easier words but I can’t confirm or deny that. All I know is I studied harder for next year, but it ended up being canceled due to budget cuts so I never got my opportunity. ”
She shrugged, it was a distant memory but one that still rattled around in her brain.
“But I kept fighting, and life took me down some dark paths but it made me stronger in the end. There’s always a way out, a way to make your situation better. You just have to want it.” said Cleo, “You need to truly want it, and more than anything I want MY name to go down in PWS history so years from now it’s ME being inducted into our hall of fame. Be it world champion, be it the first two time United Champion, I intend to make history, and set an example that anyone who fights hard enough and wants it hard enough can make history of their own.”
At that moment, we hear another small snippet of the Lupe Fiasco song “Show Goes On”
So, no matter what you been through No matter what you into No matter what you see when you look outside your window Brown grass or green grass, picket fence or barbed wire Never ever put them down, you just lift your arms higher Raise 'em 'til your arms tired, let 'em know you here That you strugglin', survivin', that you gon' persevere Yeah, ain't nobody leavin', nobody goin' home Even if they turn the lights out, the show is goin' on
As the song quickly fades back out, Cleo addresses the cameras again.
“Alexis, Kallie. Before we do battle, let’s show them what a force we can be TOGETHER. Kallie you train with one half of Rabbits Are Roadkill, and I train with the other, let’s make both Keevee and Aaron proud. Alexis you show them why you are the NEW United Champion, at least for now.” she says with a wink. “When we team up at Riot one thing is for sure, we are going to absolutely…”
She pauses for a moment, before the delivery of her catchphrase.
“SET IT OFF.”
With another tip of the hat, she walks off screen, as the scene fades out to Show Goes On once more.”
Alright, already, the show goes on All night, 'til the morning we dream so long Anybody ever wonder When they would see the sun up Just remember when you come up The show goes on

Scene One: Mother’s Day When: Sunday, May 8th. Mother’s Day Location: Gracie Lopez’s house
**The scene fades up inside the dining room of Gracie Lopez’s home. The room had the table set up beautifully, with flower arrangements and balloons. The table was set for 6, with a high chair near one setting. Sitting at the table was Alexis’s mom, Gracie, Jenn, and Alexis. They were all picking at some fruit on their plate. In the high chair sat baby Manny, giggling and smiling up a storm as she was playing with a mashed up banana on the tray.**
Alexis Makarios: I’m really glad everyone was free for this Mother’s Day Brunch I wanted to set up… you three are some of the most important people in my life. I wanted to celebrate a whole line of Mother’s Day firsts! Like Gracie’s first official Mother’s Day. My Mom’s …
**She looks over at Jenn and smiles wide**
Alexis Makarios: OUR mom’s first Mother’s Day with her 2 new daughters…
Jennifer Carpenter-Lopez: It’s not official yet…
Alexis Makarios: YET!!! Might as well be! Didn’t the lawyer say your case was nearing the top of the list?
Mrs Makarios: Yes, but it could still be weeks… or months.
Alexis Makarios: Well… it’s official enough for me.
**She looked around and for the first time in a long time she looked… happy. Genuinely happy. Her parents extended their stay in the states for the adoption… she didn’t have Heather causing problems at the current moment… she almost officially has 2 new sisters and a niece and great niece… and she is the PWS:APEX United Champion, completing a goal she set for herself when she got out of the mental hospital. Life has been good lately.**
Alexis Makarios: I better go check on the food…
Gracie Lopez: Please tell me YOU didn’t cook it?
**Alexis kind of glared at Gracie for a moment.**
Alexis Makarios: Of course not. We all know that I can’t cook! James is doing it… he makes the absolute best French Toast you will EVER have!
**She gets up and walks into the kitchen to see her husband at the stove, flipping over some French Toast. He was wearing an apron that said “Kiss Me, I Cook!”. She walked over towards him and leaned on the counter.**
Alexis Makarios: How’s that food coming along? It smells FANTASTIC
James Younger: Almost there! Finishing up these last few pieces and we will be good to go.
Alexis Makarios: Fabulous! I think it’s amazing that you offered to cook.
James Younger: Offered.. Had no other option because you can’t cook and didn’t try to get it catered or ordered in time… same thing, right?
**She laughed a bit as she playfully elbowed him. He looked at her and couldn’t help but smile.**
James Younger: This is the most relaxed I’ve seen you in… a long time.
Alexis Makarios: I know. It’s weird. Things are going so good that there’s this nagging little voice in the back of my head waiting for the other shoe to drop.
James Younger: How so?
Alexis Makarios: What if they don’t approve the adoption? What if Heather starts her shit again? What if I lose my title at Destiny? What if I fail my team this week? Just waiting for everything to go bad again because that’s just how my life has been. Everytime something good happens, things go bad. Remember Destiny last year?
James Younger: How can I forget?
Alexis Makarios: But I just need to put all my focus and effort into this 6 man tag this week. I know Cleo and Kallie will hold their own. They always do.
James Younger: And so do you
Alexis Makarios: Who lost us the Tag Belts? Yeah shush… the point I’m trying to make is the people on the other side are no slouches. Bella… Malachi… Sierra…
James Younger: 4 champions, one match. It’s monumental.
Alexis Makarios: Pshhhhh I know this already. The talent level is immense! Like, insanely immense! I have confidence though, and that mixed with my talent is what we need. Me, Cleo, and Kallie… we are gonna show them what we are made of and just why we are going to steal the show at Destiny. There is a REASON I wanted to face both at the same time. Some say I’m a glutton for punishment… others say I feel like I have to prove myself. But the truth of the matter is that both these ladies deserve a huge, memorable, tear the house down match and moment at Destiny. And I want to be a part of that for the history books. So we start with this tag match… then we “set it off” as Cleo would say at Destiny. That’s how it happens. And I’ll have it no other way,
James Younger: I know you wouldn’t. Now, if you’ll excuse me… the food is ready!
**He picks up a covered dish and heads towards the dining room as the scene fades to black.**

“Well, isn’t this quite the interesting plot twist.”
With an amused tone in his voice and a smirk across his lips, Malachi stared down the lens of the camera, his face washed with golden light from the setting sun. He was bare-chested with sunglasses on his face, reclining in a lounger on the patio of the private villa he had rented for himself and Bella in Crete as they celebrated her birthday. He raised his arms above his head and locked his fingers together behind his head, as the camera panned out slightly to show his PWS Tag Team title sitting on the table beside him.
“Just a few short months ago, I stood on the opposite side of the ring from Sierra Williams, my very own sister-in-law, ready to rip from her the World title that she’s held onto with the tenacity of a pitbull. And now, here we are…fighting side by side. Granted, this is only a one-off affair, but even still. I may be considered an asshole by…well, almost everyone I meet, but I recognize real talent when I see it. And Sierra Williams is without a doubt the greatest World champion PWS has ever seen. At least, until I get my hands back on that title.” A low chuckle sounded from him, rumbling deep within his chest. “But, that’s a story for another time. Right now, let’s turn our attention to this absolutely power-packed main event for the upcoming Riot. On one side, you’ve got a former Collateral Damage and United champion, a former World champion and current United champion, and a fresh-faced newcomer lookin’ to climb the ladder. And then, on the other side, you’ve got the most dominant World champion this company has ever seen, and the soon-to-be longest reigning Tag Team champions in PWS history.” The smirk on his face grew wider as he spread his arms out to the side. “Call it arrogance all you want, but in this business you have to believe you’re the best. If you don’t, then no one else will.”
“One thing I don’t think we have to worry about is anyone accusing you of being arrogant, babe.”
Mal smirks and appearing over his shoulder is his partner in the ring and in life, Bella. She sports a tan bikini and one of those big hats that helps block out the sun from her face. She hands him a glass flute full of what only one would assume to be a mimosa.
“You’re correct, cause they know I am. But reasons are for good reason!” motioning around, “Look at all this! I wouldn’t have been able to do all this if we weren’t successful.”
Bella drops her head and groans, “Alright, you have a good point.” she sits down in the lounge chair beside him and points at the title, “You brought the titles with us?”
He raised his sunglasses up to the top of his head to rest there, his blue eyes full of determination. “Never stop working, love. I know we’re supposed to be on vacation for a little while longer, but when business calls sometimes you have to mingle the fun in with work.”
“And sometimes you gotta mix the work in with a little fun. Are you actually not looking forward to teaming up with Sierra?”
“Well-”
“First of all, she’s family. Secondly, I know there was a point in time when you two didn’t exactly see eye to eye, especially when you and Lach had been at each other's throats but that is ancient history. To me, getting this chance to really team up with her should be amazing.”
He put his hands up, palms out towards Bella. “Look, I wasn’t saying that. I was just saying that it was like the fortunes were almost enjoying the good laugh of it.”
“In other words you were reminding everyone at home that of the history.”
“And then working into the opponents of Kallie, Alexis and Cloe.”
“That Cleo Phillips is something else.” Bella says sitting back, “And Kallie? I’ve watched her train at Wolfslair and we’ve seen what she’s doing in PWS:Apex. That girl is going to be a hell of a breakout before we know it. And then...there’s Alexis....”
Mal grit his teeth together at the mention of her name. “She’s still got one hell of a receipt owed to her for what she did to my sister. Just because she’s putting on this goody-two-shoes act all of a sudden doesn’t mean that I’ve forgotten…or forgiven.”
She sits up and leans over to him with a smirk, “Hey if anything she finally saw the light of what we were ALL saying about Heather Haze, who we all know was in her ear for a lot of that. But if anything, Alanah got to be a mom to those beautiful babies, who you just love to spoil rotten.”
He let out a huff. “Yeah, well…doesn’t mean I’m not gonna smack her around a little bit for that. Like I said, she didn’t get her receipt for that. And since ‘Lanah is still sort of out of commission, I gotta be the dutiful big brother.”
“I know you do. But after this, we leave it in the ring. After Riot we have to focus on Lyons and Sykes and Destiny.”
“Hey, whoever said I can’t multitask? I can focus on getting a bit of revenge on Alexis and looking ahead to when we retain our Tag Titles at Destiny.” Just before he lowered his sunglasses back down over his eyes, he gave a cheeky wink to his wife, who rolled her eyes but smiled at him.
“And we come back around full circle.” Bella looks around, “I just realized I left my drink inside when I brought yours out. Be right back.”
He turned his head to watch as she walked inside, before turning back around with a chuckle and lifting his drink to his lips. But before he had the opportunity to take a sip…
“CANNONBALL!!!!”
And before he even has a chance to react he gets splashed as Bella jumps into the pool right by him. She surfaces, laughing and smiling at her husband who is now glaring at her, who is wet from not only the pool but the drink he spilled on himself.
“Christ Almighty woman!”
“Don’t worry babe, I don’t think you are made of sugar. Just goes to show you need to be ready for anything though!”
