PWS: APEX TUESDAY RIOT
TUESDAY, MARCH 1, 2022
PAYCOM CENTER - OKLAHOMA CITY, OK
(The cameras flicker to life as they scan around the arena, showing different fans and their signs. The cameras stop on the announcer table.)
Alfonso Banks: Hello and welcome to the GO HOME SHOW before Demon’s Run!
JR Freeman: That’s right! Tonight is the final night before we go into the final even before Destiny!
Alfonso Banks: We have plenty of action here tonight. A Triple Threat match involving one of the Collateral Damage Title contenders.
JR Freeman: And don’t forget the debut of Ace Sky
Alfonso Banks: And our main event we will see 2 of the 6 members of the Elimination Chamber match face off!
JR Freeman: So let’s stop wasting time and get right into tonights show!
Singles Match
Ace Sky vs. Moondust
(This match goes pretty much the way I think everybody expected it would go, but neither competitor’s willing to give up the ghost without a fight. Sky wastes no time in taking the fight to his opponent, showing off his explosive, high-flying offense immediately out of the gate. The crowd react well, clearly loving the aerialist’s acrobatic antics, and the sheer speed on display doesn’t give Moondust any time to mount any sort of meaningful counterattack at all. This changes around the midpoint of the match, when Moondust is able to roll out of the way of an attempted running Leg Lariat in the corner, causing Ace to crash and burn, then begins to use his superior brawling to press his advantage. This doesn’t last long, however, as Sky counters a Powerbomb attempt into a Frankensteiner and follows up immediately with the Super Nova Slice! He then heads up top, nailing a picture perfect Shooting Star Press that he calls the “Galaxy Leap”, netting an EASY
1!

WINNER = ACE SKY
(Fade in. As Riot returns from a commercial break, we find ourselves not at ringside with the commentators but instead in the halls of the arena just outside of the door to a small, separate area. It is not clear where this door leads, as the outside is unmarked, however standing in front of it is PWS: Apex’s resident “asshole from Detroit”, Daniel Clark. Clark is dressed professionally yet somehow sleazily, holding a microphone in his right hand, and he wears an arrogant-yet-determined expression across his face as he speaks into the camera.)
Daniel Clark: I’m here outside the private locker room of the PWS: Apex Tag Team champions - and one half of the stable known as ANTITHESIS - Alexander Lyons and Tyson Sykes. Now, we don’t have many details about the match as yet, but we DO know the titles WILL be defended at the next big PWS event, Demon’s Run. However, as Tyson Sykes will be competing in the Elimination Chamber for our WORLD Title that same night, this precludes him from wrestling in that match as well. So I’m here tonight to get a word from the Tag champs on how they plan to proceed - and IF they plan to proceed - with finding an interim partner for this title defense.
(With this, Clark turns to knock sharply on the door just behind him, and - much to both his and OUR surprise - it swings open immediately, and the interviewer finds himself being hoisted off his feet and slammed against the room’s interior wall by the massive hand of ANTITHESIS’ giant, “The Mad God” Dionysus. The 7 footer holds him against the wall by his neck, brandishing a meat cleaver, getting it dangerously close to the interviewer’s throat.)
Dionysus: Slice his throat with a rusty cleaver…
(He speaks angrily, yet softly.)
Dionysus: Slice his throat with a rusty cleaver…
(Clark looks around the room, panicked, at the other members of ANTITHESIS, who don’t seem to be doing anything to stop him.)
Dionysus: Slice his throat with a rusty cleaver…
(He brings it closer to Clark’s neck, before an errant voice calls out to him, making him freeze in place.)
Jonathan Sanders: DIONYSUS!
(The Mad God slowly turns to glance over his shoulder at the Lost Cause, who simply shakes his head at the larger man.)
Jonathan Sanders: That is enough. He is not your prey…for now.
(Dionysus snarls, looking at the innocent interviewer, hesitating for a moment before suddenly letting go of his throat, letting him drop several inches, before The Mad God swiftly turns and embeds the cleaver into a wooden table with a loud and sudden THWACK! Daniel Clark visibly flinches at the sound and tries to recoil further into the wall, when Jonathan Sanders slowly steps towards him and crouches to the fallen interviewer’s level.)
Jonathan Sanders: Please do excuse my comrade, he is…somewhat on edge after the brutal attack he experienced a fortnight ago. But I know why you are here, and I can give you what you seek. You wish to know whether brother Alexander, our Horseman of Conquest, still intends to defend his half of the Tag Team titles come Demon’s Run…
(Daniel Clark has only BARELY begun to pull himself together, but he manages to nod in response to Sanders’ statement.)
Jonathan Sanders: I will allow my brother to speak for himself should he so choose, but suffice it to say this: ANTITHESIS is far more than a professional wrestling ‘stable’. WE are a FRATERNITY. A family, forged in the fires of suffering and brought together by our shared taste for violence, pain and RAGE against the system that made us the broken things we are. We do not abide by your ‘rules’ and we will NEVER hold ourselves beholden to your antique and arbitrary traditions. The Tag Team Titles WILL be defended by ANTITHESIS…but not by Alexander Lyons and Tyson Sykes. The pair stepping between those ropes on the eve of Demon’s Run will consist of Alexander Lyons, yes, but his partner will be none-other than the Horseman of Death himself, the MAD GOD…Dionysus.
(The Snake of Eden pivots on his heel to look at his much-larger compatriot.)
Jonathan Sanders: What say you, brother? A chance, perhaps, to work through some of that pent-up aggression and remind this roster why you are NOT a being to take lightly. Show them what happens to those who believe they can ambush us and succeed.
(The camera pans to Dionysus, whose lips part into a chilling and psychotic grin. He stands up, walking towards Daniel Clark. Daniel tries to run but Dionysus speeds up, the interviewer screams off-camera. We see him fly past the door and hear the crash of metal on the other side. A long moment passes before Dionysus walks back into the room. He glares at the camera, a sadistic, bloodthirsty grin on his face, and he walks up to the camera.)
Dionysus: Arizona…
(He grabs the camera, pulling it up to his face and growling into it.)
Dionysus: RUN!
(He throws the camera to the ground and the feed cuts out.)
Singles Match
Dylan Howell vs. Richard Rider
(The match starts off with Howell and Rider facing off. Howell lets out a weird laugh as he claws at Rider's face. This causes Rider to back up into the corner, trying to protect his face! The match proceeds with Howell taking different attempts at trying to hit Rider in the face, and him doing his best to avoid it. Howell appears to be having some sort of weird fun with it.)
Alfonso Banks: Dylan seems to be playing some strange, sick game with Rider.
JR Freeman: And having fun with it by the looks of it.
(The match continues on with little wrestling actually happening. Mostly just Rider trying to keep Howell away from him. After a few minutes, Howell disappears mysteriously under the ring. Rider looks confused as the referee starts to count.)
1…2…3…4…
(No sign of Howell)
5…6….7…8…
(Howell sticks his head out from under the ring, he slides out with something in his hands and slides into the ring before the 10 count.)
Alfonso Banks: What does he have in his hands?
JR Freeman: Is that… scissors???
(Howell indeed has a pair of scissors in his hands. He looks at Rider and motions that he is gonna cut his hair! Rider slides out of the ring. Howell follows. Rider runs to the back, Howell in tow. The confused referee counts.)
1…2…3…4…5…
Alfonso Banks: I think Dylan wants to give Rider a haircut!
JR Freeman: I think I saw Rider’s face go white before he took off!
6…7…8…9…10!
DING DING DING
Meg Reynolds: The match has been called a double count out!
WINNER = DOUBLE COUNT OUT
(The cameras cut to the back where Alexis Makarios was standing with Tayna Reihl in the back.)
Tayna Reihl: Welcome back, PWS:APEX Fans! I’m standing here with the #1 contender for the United Title… Alexis Makarios.
(Alexis grinned a bit)
Tayna Reihl: Alexis… how does it feel knowing that last week you did what so many didn’t think you could do… and that was to beat the World Champion Sierra Williams in a non title match?
Alexis Makarios: It feels AMAZING, Tayna. I stand here with the utmost confidence in myself. But this time, it’s well deserved. Right now… I feel invincible. I feel like I can do anything. Which is why I went and talked to Star and Laura and got permission to pick what kind of match we will have for that title.
Tayna Reihl: Exciting! What kind of match can we expect?
Alexis Makarios: I thought about it pretty long. I had a lot of wild ideas in my head but then I thought… “what can I do to prevent people from saying my winning the belt is a fluke, or that I just got lucky”. Then it hit me. You will see the United Title defended in a 30 minute Ironman… erm… Iron WOMAN… match. She wants to retain that title… she has to beat me more than once. Be ready, Cleo… you are in for the match of your LIFE.
(Alexis grinned and walked off)
Triple Threat Match
Miss Puppies vs. Ivory Sullivan vs. Dawn Warren
(The match starts off with Ivory and Dawn focusing on double teaming Miss Puppies, seeing her as the biggest threat. Several minutes into the match, Miss Puppies takes Dawn down with a Cherrybomb and goes for the pin.)
1…2…3? NO!
(Ivory rushes in and breaks up the count. She throws Puppies out of the ring and goes for the pin herself!)
1…2… KICKOUT!
(Having had enough time to recover a little bit, Dawn was able to kick out! She rolls herself out of the ring and falls to the mat. Ivory rolls outside the ring and throws Puppies back in. They ight back and forth for several minutes, Ivory attempts a roll up with a grab of the tights!)
1…2… KICKOUT!
(Dawn had slid back in the ring and broke up the count. Ivory gets to her feet and connects with a “whiteout fixes all” to Dawn, causing her to drop to the mat. Ivory grabs Puppies and throws her over the top rope before dropping for a pin.)
1…2…3!!!
DING DING DING
WINNER = IVORY SULLIVAN
(After the bell had sounded and Ivory’s hand was raised in victory, the victory celebration was short-lived as the crowd erupted in gasps and boo’s. The cameras turn to show that Violet Amelia Holt had rushed the ring and was attacking Miss Puppies at ringside!)
JR Freeman: WHAT THE HELL???
Alfonso Banks: Violet is full of anger and rage, and she apparently can’t WAIT to get her hands on Miss Puppies.
JR Freeman: After the “shit” comments last week? Can ya blame her?
(Security tries to separate the two, but they fail as the two begin to fight their way through the crowd, all the way through the arena until they actually bust through the front doors of the arena! Miss Puppies grabs Violet and tosses her through the glass door, shattering it! She steps through the broken door and grabs at Violet, who grabs her hair and pulls her to the ground as well. The two are fighting on the sidewalk when they are swarmed by several members of security followed closely by a pissed off Laura Phoenix AND Star Stormz!)
Alfonso Banks: UH OH! Both boss ladies in the same place?
JR Freeman: And they both look PISSED!!
(Star and Laura were both shouting commands to security as they finally get control of the situation.)
Star Stormz: So this is how you guys thank me? I put the two of you in a match at Demon’s Run for the vacated Collateral Damage Championship… and you repay me by constantly fighting, putting the CROWD in danger, AND breaking a damn glass door??? I have half a mind to just CANCEL the match at Demon’s Run! I’m sick of this!
(Laura tilts her head a little and puts a hand up.)
Laura Phoenix: Hold that thought, Star. I have a better idea. These two wanna take this fight to the streets… Why don’t we let them?
(Star looks over at her with a confused look on her face.)
Laura Phoenix: Why don’t we make that Demon’s Run match a Street Fight? Let them get it all out… live on PPV?
(Star looks intrigued as she looks over at Puppies and Violet, who both seem to like the idea.)
Star Stormz: I like that.
Laura Phoenix: And if either of these two decide to lay a finger on the other before then… title’s OFF the line.
(She looks over at the two)
Laura Phoenix: And I fucking mean it. Get them outta here.
(Security takes the two back into the arena, leaving Star and Laura looking at the mess)
Star Stormz: This is coming out of THEIR pockets.
Laura Phoenix: I couldn't agree more…
(With that, the cameras cuz back to ringside)
Alfonso Banks: A STREET FIGHT??
JR Freeman: No rules, no countouts, no dqs… it’s a straight up BRAWL!
Alfonso Banks: Some one’s gonna die…
Singles Match
Jennifer Carpenter-Lopez vs. Alexander Lyons
(The match gets underway slowly but surely with a lock-up followed by a test of strength, which Lyons wins easily. Jenn gets to her feet quickly, however, and soon takes control of the match, diving between Lyons’ legs, bouncing off the ropes, and in general outspeeding her larger opponent.)
JR Freeman: Lyons has to keep in mind that Jennifer is a veteran of this company!
Alfonso Banks: Absolutely! She could out-wrestle a grizzly bear!
JR Freeman: Well… that’s a bold claim, Alf.
Alfonso Banks: A baby grizzly bear?
JR Freeman: Let’s just focus on the match at hand.
(Soon Jenn hits a diving crossbody and stays on top of Lyons for a cover!)
1!
(No, a strong kickout at 1! Lyons then takes control, kneeing Jenn in the face before kipping up, going on a strong offense. Whenever Jenn comes up to try and attack him, he shuts her down with strong offense. He ends up tossing her out of the ring, following her outside and throwing her into the barricade with a stalling suplex.)
(We cut to the backstage area, where Malachi and Bella Madison are watching the match intently.)
(Cutting back to the ring, the ref counts to 7 before Lyons slides back into the ring, resetting the count.)
JR Freeman: Wow, the sheer strength of Lyons is something to watch out for!
Alfonso Banks: Agreed! This man could out-wrestle a grizzly bear!
JR Freeman: Uhh, Alf?
Alfonso Banks: I REALLY wanna see someone fight a grizzly bear, JR!
(Lyons remains in control, even as Jenn slides back under the bottom rope at the count of 6, but Jenn takes control after a bit with a dropkick into the ropes followed by a second one to now get Lyons out of the ring. This back-and-forth goes on for a moment longer before Jenn hits the Aussie Blackout! She has Lyons down, this could be it!
1!
2!
…
(No, a kickout! Jenn remains in control for the vast majority of the offense, however, one moment of weakness is all it takes, and Lyons hits the Lionheart Kick!)
Alfonso Banks: Lionheart kick!
JR Freeman: Outta nowhere!
(He smirks, as he uses the opportunity to lock in the Gordian Knot.)
JR Freeman: And there’s the Gordian Knot!
Alfonso Banks: This one’s over!
(And he’s right. After Jenn’s hand is lifted a third time, it falls and the referee calls for the bell.)
WINNER = ALEXANDER LYONS
(Daniel Clark is backstage with United Champion Cleo Phillips, mic in hand ready for the usual standard interview.)
Daniel Clark: I have the United Champion Cleo Phillips with me tonight, who we now know will defend her championship against Alexis Makarios in a 30 minute Ironman match at Demons Run.
Cleo Phillips: Ironwoman.
Daniel Clark: Yeah, sure. Whatever. Now, you’re in this position because last week you lost to Kallie Reznik, and thus lost the bet you and Alexis made…
Cleo Phillips: Watch the sass Daniel.
Daniel Clark: I don’t know what you mean. I’m just doing my job.
Cleo Phillips: Of course you are. Just remember who you’re talkin’ to and try to be a little more respectful. Sure I lost last week, and as a woman of my word if I make it past Alexis, then all Kallie has to do is name the time and place, and she’ll get her championship match.
Daniel Clark: You would still have to beat Alexis though for that to happen, are you sure you can get the job done? She did just beat Sierra Williams.
Cleo Phillips: Careful there Daniel, of course I can, we all have bad nights, and Kallie was the better woman that night, but at Demons Run I have no doubt I will walk out STILL you’re United Champion. Alexis might beat me three times, but I’ll beat her four.
Daniel Clark: Have you any thoughts on who might win the World Championship elimination chamber?
Cleo Phillips: Now that’s a proper question, an a tough one to answer. Someone like Heather Haze always has a trick up her sleeve. The top 2 members of ANTITHESIS are both in, which could hurt or help them depending on the situation. Mike Hawk is a sneaky little bastard and if you’re not careful he’ll get ya, and of course Audrey Russow is someone you should never overlook. HOWEVER, Sierra is champion for a reason and has been for a long time, and in my opinion she is going to prove once again why she is the top bitch in this company, and when the smoke settles she will STILL be World Champion.
Daniel Clark: Anything else you want to say?
Cleo Phillips: Just that I hope Alexis understands what she’s getting herself into, because Team Cleo is coming strong, and Team Cleo is coming hard. You want this championship, then I’m going to make you EARN it. I’ll see you at Demons Run Alexis, and as always I am coming to SET IT OFF.
Daniel Clark: Well, there you have it folks, I guess the next stop for the United Champion will be Demons Run.
(The crowd says “SET IT OFF” with her in unison at the end, the camera stays on Cleo and Daniel for a few seconds before fading out.)
Main Event
Singles Match
Heather Haze vs. Tyson Sykes
(The match starts off with Haze squaring up to Sykes, and wasting no time slapping him straight across the face with a smirk on hers. He reels back a bit and puts his hand on his cheek, with an almost sadistic grin on his face. He raises a fist in her direction and she flinches a bit, and appears to be warning him about her “hurt neck”. He raises an eyebrow and proceeds to take a step towards her and lock up with her, overpowering her without much trouble. She slips out of the hold and rolls out of the ring. The referee warns her to get back into the ring before he starts counting.)
Alfonso Banks: Come on, her neck is injured! She shouldn’t even be wrestling tonight.
JR Freeman: At least she got her voice back?
Alfonso Banks: Yes, let’s be thankful for THAT?
1…2…
(The fans are booing her, as she has her back to the ring yelling at them, Sykes shakes his head and slides out of the ring, sneaking up behind her. He taps her on the shoulder and she turns around, letting out a scream! She took off running around to the other side of the ring and slid in. He gave chase and followed. As soon as he got back in the ring, before he could stand up she began to deliver kicks to his back and neck, causing him to struggle to get to his feet. She takes a quick roll up and grabs the ropes!)
1… NO!
(The ref saw her grab the ropes and the two began to argue back and forth. This gave Sykes a moment to get to his feet. The two fight back and forth from here for several minutes. Sykes hits Haze with a hard hitting DDT, smashing her head into the mat to the point the ref insists on checking on her. He tells Sykes to stay back.)
JR Freeman: Haze could be hurt…
Alfonso Banks: Sykes is a sadistic son of a bitch.
(Haze holds her neck, as if something is wrong. Sykes, sick of this, reaches down to grab her by the hair, but she grabs him and rolls him up again!)
1…2… KICKOUT!?
(Sykes rolls through and turns it into a roll up of his own!)
1…2… KICKOUT!
(Haze rolls him up again!)
1…2…
(As the ref goes to count hte 3, she can tell that Sykes is gonna kick out so she reaches for the ropes without the ref seeing.)
3!!! The referee calls for the bell as Haze slides out of the ring, holding her hands up high.
JR Freeman: Heather Haze just stole a victory right out from under Sykes’ nose!
Alfonso Banks: Ya do what ya gotta do.
Meg Reynolds: And your winner… HEATHER HAZE!!!
WINNER = HEATHER HAZE
(Heather’s music starts to play, as she holds her hands up in victory. Sykes is inside the ring, pissed off and yelling at the referee. Haze’s music scratches out and the crowd erupts. On the top of the ramp stood Sierra Williams, holding her World Title high, as if sending a message, with her eyes glued on the ring.)
Alfonso Banks: Sierra making a statement! She is the champ, and is ready to defend.
JR Freeman: Sierra has taken on all challengers… and she is ready to do it again. Letting Heather and Tyson know that she is ready for them.
(The crowd stirs again as some one is seen running through the crowd from behind the announcers tables, the cameras catch that it is Audrey Russow. She hops the barricade and climbs on top of the announcers table, making her presence known as the fans cheer.)
JR Freeman: Seems Audrey can’t let Sierra be the only one to put herself out there.
Alfonso Banks: I’m surprised she isn’t trying to kill Heather right now…
(The ring apron suddenly blows up and reveals under the ring where Mike Hawk was laying under the ring playing on a handheld gaming system. He notices the apron move and looks around.)
Mike Hawk: OH SHIT!
(He drops the system and scrambles out from under the ring, taking a position at the bottom of the ramp like the rest.)
Alfonso Banks: What the hell? Has he been under there the entire night?
JR Freeman: I think so! I wonder why?
Alfonso Banks: Maybe he wanted to have some fun with Heather and Sykes during their match?
(The 5 out around the ring begin to look around, as it was clear that one person was missing.)
JR Freeman: Where the hell is Jonathan Sanders?
(Suddenly a spotlight hits and points up into the rafters, where Jonathan Sanders was perched.)
Alfonso Banks: Crazy bastard!!!
JR Freeman: and on that note… we are out of time. Tune in next week for Demon’s Run!
(The cameras cut to credits with various closeups of the competitors)
