Cleo sent her rp to staff as she could not get on the boards. Here it is
Redemption.
Redemption can be a hard thing to achieve. Many try to find redemption from their past sins and never quite find it. Some would say it’s too late, but if you look to people like Larry Lawton, a reformed jewel thief who spent eleven years in federal prison and now speaks as an advocate against crime and looks to help the youth of today get on the right track so they don’t make the same mistakes he did.
It’s people like Larry who are the real inspiration for PWS United Champion Cleo Phillips, who herself is trying to change her past sins. Now that she represents the company as a champion, it’s more important to her than ever to be a positive influence on the fans, especially the younger ones. Having debuted just over a year ago as a brash young cocky girl from one of the hoods in New York, her life has gone through it’s biggest changes in a rather short time, and she still has a long way to go.
While she is friendly with some of the wrestlers backstage like The Commonwealth or Shawn Young, she hasn’t made too many real friends. Most of the time she finds herself socializing with the unsung heroes of the business, the ones that don’t get spoken about much. The catering crew, the ring crew, the cameramen and others who never truly get the recognition they deserve. The ones who work hard, so people like Cleo can go out there and shine.
Her favorite has been one named Anthony, who has become her cameraman of choice. She’s brought him onto Team Cleo to document her journey. Dishonored comes from Chicago. Cleo and her friend Z-Money have never been to The Windy City before, and what’s the first thing you do when going to Chicago for the first time? Try the pizza of course. There was however one problem. Cleo and Z-Money are from New York.
---------
The camera opens with Cleo Phillips and Z-Money sitting on a park bench, they each have a slice of deep dish pizza, and are poking it with forks. Neither of them look impressed.
“Man, what is this?” Z-Money said, confusion in his voice.
“I mean it’s supposed to be the best pizza in Chicago, but..this isn’t pizza. Can you even pick it up?” Cleo seemed just as confused.
“All I want now is a slice from Lombardi’s.” said Z-Money, finally taking a bite of the pizza.
“Any good?” Cleo asked.
“The taste is fine...but like you said..this isn’t a pizza. It’s just...off.” he said, but still continued eating.
Cleo observed him for a moment, and finally tasted her own pepperoni and sausage covered slice of pie.
“I mean, it does taste good…, but you’re right nothing beats a slice from back home in NYC, which by the way should come from Paulie Gee’s.”
“Well we agree to disagree.” retorted Z-Money, mozzarella cheese hanging out of his mouth.
“I guess we do.” Cleo quipped back.
The two stare daggers through each other for a moment, before laughing.
“Point is, now we can confirm New York pizza is better.” said Z-Money
“That we can agree on.” Cleo nodded in her response.
“So you ready for Miles Kasey?” asked Z-Money, mouthful of pizza.
“Of course. I’m always ready.” responded Cleo, “Miles Kasey will have to truly bring his A-Game because I have no intention of losing my championship anytime soon.”
“We still got that thing at the teen center right?” asked Z-Money
“Yes, of course. But we’ll get to that. For now, let’s just enjoy this average pizza and just enjoy being alive. I mean we’re in fucking CHICAGO Z, us. A couple hoodrats from The Bronx. We can poke fun at this pizza all we want, but when you look at the big picture, like..we fucking made it man.”
Z-Money looks around and nods in response, “I know, who have thought it would be us? BUt damn, it feels good to get out of that shit.”
“True that.” said Cleo, fist bumping Z-Money across the table, before looking into the camera, “Anthony you can stop filming if you want. Have some pizza, relax a little. You’re part of our team now, you deserve a break too.”
The camera remains still for a moment, before it cuts off to static.
----------
Cleo leans back against her tour bus as the scene opens, with all the cool swag she always wears, the United Championship sits proudly on her shoulder, she adjusts her Chicago Braves baseball cap, before speaking.
“Miles Kasey. I hope you're truly ready for the fight that’s coming your way. I know you're on your own path of redemption, looking to make up for some earlier losses. Just trying to revamp yourself, as you return full-time to PWS. What you’re going to find among some familiar faces, is a slew of new ones ready to lead this company into a new era. People like myself.
She extends a hand forward with a smile.
“Cleo Phillips, pleased to meet you.”
As the smile fades, her arm falls back to her side.
“I’m working on my own redemption too. They all know my story by now. How I lived my life up until I got my PWS contract. An arrogant thug who’d spent a fair amount of her young life behind bars. Now, I seek to inspire change and guide the youth in a positive direction. I need you to understand, this championship means more to me than you can possibly understand. I don’t know what upbringing you had across the pond, but I came from NOTHING, do you understand me? NOTHING!”
She raises the inflection on her voice near the end to push her point home, like with her opponents past she wants to make sure they know how seriously she takes her matches.
“Maybe you did as well, and if you did then you understand why I have this passion. Why I wish to be someone the next generation can look up to as a positive role model. I’ve proven in my year and some change with this company that I have what it takes to go the limit. I have what it takes to be THE BEST. I know I can’t change the world, but I can hopefully inspire and change a few. That’s all anyone can ask for. You want to make yourself a nice little comeback story, and that’s great and all but it ends here, it ends with me.”
She looks down at her championship proudly and smiles.
“Last time, I was a champion, it didn't go so well. That loss to Sanders was a tough one, but I did what I had to and pressed on, and in the end it led me to the United Championship. Now I have a second chance to prove I do deserve to be a champion. I beat a legend in Nick Madison in what is possibly one of his last matches ever. So shake off whatever ring rust you might have, because you’re going to need to be at 100% to take this championship from me. I won’t be selling you short in any way Miles. You’ve been here before, and holding this now I know it doesn’t come easy. But my reign just began, and I refuse to let it end early this time.”
A crack of the neck, followed by a crack of the knuckles, and she continues.
“I do find some humor in the fact you trained at a place called Wolfslair, and my training school, gym whatever you wanna call it was called The Lyons Den. A lion and a wolf, which will reign supreme? As you may have guessed. My money is on the lion, and not the one running around with ANTITHESIS. Although it is his family school..and that’s a whole situation that I don’t need to be involved with. That gym gave me my start, and one day I hope to have my picture on their wall of fame. I can’t do that if I keep losing championships.”
She pulls her United Championship tighter against her shoulder, clearly not ready to lose it yet.
“I know you want a fight, and I’m going to bring you one. Just remember that you asked for this. Remember that it’s nothing personal, but I have so much that I myself am fighting for. You are in for one of the toughest fights of your life, definitely the toughest you’ve had in recent memory. If you don’t believe that then there is NO way you take this belt from me. All I really know is fighting. It’s what I’ve done since I was a young girl growing up in a shithole in The Bronx, it’s how I survived on the streets, it’s how I survived behind bars. Now I just use my skill to inspire hope. Because that’s what we all need right now, some hope. Times are tough for everyone right now, and all I can do is be a bright spot of entertainment in these dark times. All I can do is inspire those who seek some guidance to follow me, to join Team Cleo. I’ll lead the misguided through the darkness to the light that all of them can and deserve to achieve. Together we can strive for a better future, together we can be UNITED and overcome any adversary. I hope you bring that WHOLE ASS for me to kick, because I’m not someone who seeks to HALF ASS anything.”
She chuckles a bit and smirks.
“I’ll see you at Dishonored Miles. Be ready because as always, I am going to SET IT OFF.”
She lifts her shades up, and raises her championship high above her head, giving the camera a serious look as the scene fades to black.

Not the outcome I deserved Atlanta, GA
“FUCK!!!!”
Miles stormed into the back, a towel wrapped around his tights, whipping his coat across the locker room. The cage he was just in, he got caught and his whole ass just hung out on national television thanks to the asshole that won that match.
Becca Larkin followed in behind as he pulled the towel to make sure his tights weren’t torn. No, just really stretched out and somewhat embarrassed by what just took place. But that wasn’t what was bugging him the most. He came up short again and that got to him more than anything.
He used the towel to wipe his head down before he tossed it over to his side. And just looked at Becca. “Sorry.”
“What are you apologizing for?”
“I don’t know...just felt like the right thing to say. You looked like you were going to win it there for a moment and then....”
“Full moon over Atlanta.” he went to punch the locker and stopped himself short, “I just...I can’t believe that that happened. It was supposed to be my moment. And now I have to walk into Chicago and face down Cleo fuckin’ Phillips and for what? I mean at least Jack fuckin’ Russow was able to come in....myself and Bella??? We can’t buy a fucking BREAK! WHY?”
“I...I don’t know.” she says, backing herself into a corner.
Miles sighs and walks over and pulls her into a hug, “I’m sorry, I don’t mean to take this out on you. Just....I had my hopes up high and just got crushed again.”
“I wish I could help.” she says muffled into his bear chest.
“I’ll be ok. Nothing a bag of chocolate chip cookies can’t handle.”
She glances up at him with a smirk on her face, “Store run?”
Placing a kiss on her forehead “I’m sure there’s one around the hotel somewhere.”
Pulling away from him, she smiles, pushing him towards the shower area, “Ok, you shower and change and I’ll go get the car.”
“Appreciate it, love.” Becca leaves him behind in the room and he turns and sighs looking at his tights once more....”Mattie is going to kill me.”
Uncertaintly of this one too Chicago, IL
It had been a somewhat stormy morning in Chicago, and more were coming but Miles found himself running the streets of Chicago and ended up at the Navy Pier. He just stopped and stared for a moment before running to the end and overlooks the Great Lake known as Michigan.
“I will never get over the fact that I find places like this no matter where I go. I just happened across it, I’ve heard about it.”
Thunder rolls across the sky to the east, and he just stares.
“I wasn’t supposed to be here. By here I mean, this match, Cleo. I wanted to come back to PWS but I wasn’t really ready to come back to PWS but I felt like I needed a change. Imagine my surprise when welcoming me back, it came with a match against Alexis and then surprise...the win got me here. To Chicago and a match...with you.”
He leans against the rail and drops his head.
“I was really looking forward to this. REALLY! I was the second United Champ! I was actually kind of anxious. But then this weekend just knocked all the wind out of my sails. You deserve the best Cleo...and right now...that’s not me.” His eyebrow lifts as he looks up and over. “That does not mean that I am not out to give you one hell of a fight. I know your reign will continue after this and maybe hopefully I can get to meet you again but I just....I cannot confidently say that this is my time because I don’t feel like it is. Despite ALL the excitement I HAD...just...whoosh....gone.”
“Give me some credit, I am so impressed by you....” he chuckles, “The fact that the United Division is representing by someone that is sorta like me, is impressive. You are on to some great things....”
“Me....well....I guess we’ll just gonna have to find that out somewhere else.”
