“Do you feel like you’re irrelevant?... Do you feel like you’re irrelevant?...
...Do you feel like you’re just scared as fuck?” ...Is There Any Life On Mars?... (We see a leather bodied jacket with denim sleeves pop over the shoulders of a young, wild-haired rock star as Jack Russow turns around...but doesn’t pop the collar like he so cheekily does. Something’s bothering him...something is on his mind…he starts walking through the empty backstage arena dragging a guitar across the ground with him, the PWS United Championship fastened around his waist...blood starting to pour out of his nose. The screen statics in and out and we can see when it glitches there IS a full bustling backstage crowd...but when the screen is right, they’re not there. Like he’s not seeing them. Jack hangs his head...hearing nothing but the discordant sounds from the guitar he’s dragging along the ground until we finally fixate a camera he walks straight up to.) Jack Russow: What’s on your mind Jack? What are you gonna DO Jack? What’s WRONG Jack!? DO YOU WANNA TALK ABOUT IT!? HOW DOES THAT MAKE YOU FEEL!? (Jack shrieks as he recklessly slings the guitar around before launching it down the hallway as we hear it skid as Jack grabs his head and staggers around before throwing his back against the wall and sliding down with his head in his hands. He’s pulling his hair as he suddenly releases laying his head back against the wall with tears in his eyes.) Jack Russow: ...I let ‘im down. Dad...handed me the task of resurrecting Slappy McGoo...and I let him down. I watched the best man I’ve ever known...completely break his own heart...for the FLICKER of hope he could make a life for his family in that cold bitch of a ring we revel in. Why’s that fair? Why do I…this whelp...deserve the honor of standing on top of that turnbuckle...holding this beautiful title in the air when I watched my hero try his best and fail...and what did he do? He resigned himself to the notion that he was right...that he DOESN’T belong in that ring with us...but he DOES. He DOES. It’s not FAIR!!! (Jack kicks the production crate near him as he unhooks the title and looks at it lovingly.) Jack Russow: I haven’t acted...like much of a champion. And to put me in my place...maybe even to punish me for taking this title from Bella...you grasp one of the strongest pillars of your precious Hall of Fame...you pluck him from obscurity...from playing Mr. Mom. And you throw me in the ring with him to destroy each other not ONCE...but TWICE. This man is supposed to be my UNCLE and he’s THRIVING to try and take my head clean off my shoulders and for WHAT?...THIS!? (Jack holds the title in front of him bouncing it on his knee.) Jack Russow: I tell ya what “Uncle” Nick. You want this so bad? You wanna relive your glory days so bad? Fine. Let’s go again. You and me. What? Did you think I’d be scared? Did you think your little Boondock Saints “aye the indifference of good men!” well newsflash Hero, you are NOT...a “good man”...don’t FEED me that bullshit, I saw you DO it while I was growing UP! I’ve SEEN your demons...your evil. And I’d like to think THAT’S why I’ve been given you. I got nothing left to lose, old man. You wanna break me against your stones? C’mon then…; ...Va Mi Famoso. (With that, Jack stands up and swaggers off down the hall holding the title low beside him as we fade to black.)

The Little Things
(The scene opens inside the Madison home, where Nick and Laura are sound asleep in their bed. It’s in the early hours of the morning, just as the sun is starting to peer through the window. The bedroom door slowly creaks open, as we see little Aaron tip-toe his way into the bedroom. He has a mischievous smirk on his face, as he climbs up onto the trunk at the foot of the bed, as he looks at his parents.)Aaron Madison: BIRTHDAY SPLASH!!!! (With that, Aaron LEAPS into the air, and lands in between Nick and Laura, as they both groan, being woken up by their son.)Nick Madison: Your son is awake… Laura Phoenix: Before sunrise, he’s YOUR son… Nick Madison: Okay, Sirabi… (Laura growls, as Nick starts to stir.)Aaron Madison: Wake up wake up wake uppppp! It’s my birthday! Nick Madison: I’m up….I’m up. (Nick sits up in bed, as he gets tacklehugged by Aaron back down.)Nick Madison: Jesus kid….did you get into the cake or something this morning? Aaron Madison: (gasps) WE HAVE CAAAAKE!?!?!? Laura Phoenix: You did it….You deal with it. Nick Madison: Okay...okay, let’s go get you some breakfast. Aaron Madison: CAKE! CAKE! CAKE! CAKE! Nick Madison: Not for breakfast…. Aaron Madison: AWWWWW!!! Nick Madison: Chocolate chip pancakes? Aaron Madison: YEEEEESSSSSS!!!!! (Nick laughs as he gets up out of bed, and Aaron jumps into his arms.)Nick Madison: Alright, let’s let mommy sleep and I’ll make you some chocolate chip pancakes for your birthday. Laura Phoenix: Bless you… (Laura rolls back over, as Nick carries Aaron out of the room, closing the door behind him. He carries Aaron downstairs, and into the kitchen.)Nick Madison: Today is your uncle Levi’s birthday too. We need to make sue to call him later and tell him happy birthday. Aaron Madison: UNCLE EVI! Nick Madison: You are one hyped up kid this morning… Aaron Madison: Cuz it’s muh BIRTHDAY! Nick Madison: Yes, yes it is, bud. (Nick starts to get the stuff out to make pancakes, as Aaron runs around the kitchen.)Nick Madison: Mind if I have pancakes with you? Aaron Madison: SURE! Nick Madison: Alright, buddy. (Nick mixes together the pancake mix, adding in the chocolate chips, before grabbing a griddle and putting it on the stove and heating it up. He pours the pancake mix on and starts cooking the pancakes as Aaron FINALLY seems to calm down a bit and waits by him as he waits for the pancakes.)Aaron Madison: Pancakes. Pancakes. Pancakes. Nick Madison: In just a minute. We gotta cook them. Gotta be patient. Aaron Madison: I knowww.. (The scene closes as Nick makes the pancakes for his son for his birthday.) (The scene opens as we see Nick Madison sitting in the corner of a wrestling ring. He’s sitting indian style, as he looks right at the camera. He lets his gaze drift off, as he looks through the camera, as he begins to speak.)Nick Madison: It’s the little things, Jack. It’s the little things that rips us apart. Sure, I coild have just walked away after Dishonored last year. I could have rode into the sunset and called it a career after my war with Lukas Emery. I could have been satisfied with all the accolades, all the championships, the Hall of Fame induction, I could have been happy with all of that. But there was a part of me that just...wouldn’t...let me be. (Nick looks directly at the camera, as he speaks in a pointed voice.)Nick Madison: There was a part of me that said...you know, I can do more. There was a part of me that wanted to do more. I saw the next generation of wrestlers coming into their own, and I thought...it would be great to work with some of them. And one of the names at the very top of that list? Jack Russow. (Nick lets out a sigh as he continues.)Nick Madison: You are a phenomenally talented kid, Jack. You’ve got everything it takes to make a great champion, and whether he admits it or not depending on his mood, you’ve made your father incredibly proud with the man you’ve become. I still remember when you were running around the halls back in the old PWS days when you were growing up, chasing Bella around all over the place. I watched you grow up over the years, I watched as you got into the business, and I watched as you became a champion. You’ve worked hard for everything you’ve accomplished, and I dare anyone to argue that fact. (Nick stands up to his feet, as he leans back against the turnbuckle.)Nick Madison: At Crusade, you were close. You almost got the job done...but you didn’t. I know it eats at you that you didn’t get the win. I know there’s that little part of you, that tiny voice inside your head, that little bit of doubt. You tell yourself you can get the job done. You tell yourself you can knock off any challenger, and be the champion you want to be...but there’s that little bit of doubt that creeps into your head every now and then, that little voice that says, maybe you WON’T get the job done. That little part of you that says maybe you can’t knock off everyone who comes knocking on your door. Pretty soon, that little voice starts to get louder, gaining momentum, as your paranoia grows. Before you know it, what started as a whisper of doubt turns into this massive shouting of self doubt. Sure, you will do whatever you can to walk out of Demon’s Run still champion. You’ll put your body through absolute hell to ensure the fans get a great show, and you know I’ll do the same. (Nick pushes himself from the turnbuckle.)Nick Madison: All bets are off, Jack. It’s time to put up or shut up, as they say. Are you the champion you claim to be? Are you as good as you think you are? Do you have what it takes to “knock down this old man?” I gues we’ll see come Demon’s Run. As I said, you’re a great wrestler, and you’re a great champion. No one can argue that fact… ....but nothing lasts forever.(Nick stares into the camera, as the scene fades to black.)
