PWS Arena. New York, NY. Tuesday, Oct. 27.
“Too easy,” she says to herself. “Way too easy.”
Tayler confidently strolls back through the curtain after decimating Kazimir Moskovitz. Not touched once, she made quick work of her opponent and she allows a quick smile to creep over her face, a slight bit of relief showing through. Backstage interviewer Cameron Fernandez approaches the victorious debutant.
“Cameron Fernandez, nice to meet you Tayler.”
Cameron extends her hand to shake Tayler’s. Tayler returns the gesture and nods.
“Do you mind if we get your thoughts on your first PWS appearance?”
“Uhh... Sure.”
Cameron gestures to lead Tayler to a predetermined interview area a few steps away from the entrance. She helps stage Tayler with help from her camera man. A makeup artist comes to both, touching them up under the lights for a better visual.
“We’ll get started here in a second, but I wanted to tell you that was very impressive. We’ve had a lot of new superstars here, but I can’t remember one who got the win quite as easily as you did.”
“Thanks--”
“Sorry, we’ll do this on camera.”
The makeup artists scatter and the camera man gives the thumbs up for the interview to begin. Cameron, holding the microphone, gives a deep breath and a big smile.
“PWS fans, I have a treat for you. I am with the newest addition to the PWS roster, Tayler Parks. Tayler, you signed your contract just days ago and found out you had to wrestle one of the toughest on the roster, Kazimir Moskovitz. You just defeated him in seconds. Tell us what this means to you and how it feels getting a big shot like this and making the most of your debut.”
“It’s been a wild few days for sure, but I knew I was ready for this opportunity. I work quick and effectively, and Moskovitz made it too easy for me. You could see my strength, my determination, and my intelligence on full display in that match. You’re going to have to try harder than that to outsmart me, you’re going to have to be tougher than that to withstand me, and you’re going to have to be better than that to beat me. That was just the tip of the iceberg for me, I’ve got a lot left that I didn’t show.”
“You made such quick work of him. Did you expect to win so easily?”
“Cameron, you never expect to win so easily. Underestimating your opponent is the easiest way to get yourself in a bad position. I am supremely confident in my abilities, but you never expect to win untouched. I’m grateful he made such a glaring mistake, but believe me, I’m not going to expect others to make the same mistake. I’m going to be prepared for whomever they throw at me.”
Cameron smiles and nods again, turning back towards the camera.
“You heard it PWS fans! Tayler Parks, the Mosh Pit Princess herself, is here and she is ready to take on anyone in front of her. Tayler, thank you very much.”
Tayler and Cameron shake hands again, the camera man gives her a thumbs up and nod, and Tayler turns to walk away. The backstage area is essentially a ghost town. Very few crew members are wandering around, but as Tayler turns the corner towards her locker room, she notices a door fling open and out storms Levi Russow. He is power walking, muttering angrily under his breath. In tow are his son, Jack, and Mack McKane, the Apex World Champion. He stops briefly, acknowledging Tayler.
“Well, that’s one way to get the fucking job done.”
“Yeah, make it easy on me, didn’t he?”
“Don’t get used to it. I’d love to stay and chat, but I’ve got some fucking bullshit to attend to.”
The three of them storm off, leaving Tayler standing in the hallway again, alone in a world full of outsiders. She notices a folding chair leaning up against the wall. She grabs it and carries it to a small, secluded area in the back, rather than going into the locker room. She sits down and takes a deep breath, before talking to herself.
“Too easy. Just too damn easy. It was too easy to get the win. It’s too easy to just fall in between the cracks. Even in a dominant win, it is like I’m invisible here. It’s too fucking easy to be a ghost in this place. It’s clear I’m going to have to do something to stand out. I’ve got to do something memorable to get my message across. I’ve got to do something to get the people talking. And I’ve got just the idea.” -------------------------------------------------------- Undisclosed apartment. New York, NY. Tuesday, Nov. 3.
“What’s up wrestling fans?! It’s the one and only ‘Mosh Pit Princess’. That’s right, it’s Tayler Parks, coming at you from my new apartment here in New York.”
Tayler sits in front of a neutral background in her new apartment, behind her streaming setup.
“Just going to do a quick video today, give you a little update on me and my situation. So, as most of you are aware, I left Seattle. *gasp* I know, HUGE shock, right? Well... I got the call I’ve waited years for, I’ve been signed to Pro Wrestling Syndicate, and I made my debut this past week. Cosmonaut Moskovitz, or whatever his name is, was no match for me. I won in the easiest squash match possible. I appreciate the love and support you’ve shown me on Twitch and YouTube, and also on my Twitter. By the way guys, you know you can tweet me anytime, it’s ‘@moshpitprincess’. Pretty straight forward. But anyway, yeah, that’s how the past few weeks have gone, and now it looks like I’ve got another match scheduled for next week, and this one should be just as fun.
Of course, again, I have no idea who this person is or what they’re capable of. But Dawn Warren, I’m not sure who you pissed off in the office, but you better apologize to them and pray for mercy. I showed everyone what type of destruction I’m capable of with Moskovitz and I’m definitely looking to continue that this next week in our match. From what I’ve been able to dig up online about you, I can see you’re not my size, you can’t match my strength, and you’re book smart but don’t know shit about how to handle yourself in a real fight. Make no mistake Dawn, stepping into that ring with me, you better be ready for a real fight. I’m not going in there to make friends or to put on an exciting match. I’m looking to win. Quickly. I will not hesitate to break you in half to get what I want. And from the looks of it, there’s not a damn thing you can do to stop me.”
Tayler raises her drink to her mouth and takes a big gulp. She pops the lid back into place and takes a deep breath. She brushes the hair back out of her face and continues speaking.
“But enough about Dawn. There’s something else I wanted to address. When I signed my deal with PWS, I was ecstatic to meet and be able to work with Levi Russow. I have known Levi’s name for years. I was a fan of his from back in the day. And the fact that he was the one who presented me with my contract was an incredible feeling. Towards the end of our meeting, after the deal was signed, he mentioned to me that he might have a home for me since I was all alone in a new city and in a whole new world with PWS. Immediately, I knew what he was implying, and I gotta be honest, it was flattering. It was an honor to have Levi extend such an offer to me.
But the reality of the situation is this: as honored as I was to receive the offer, as grateful as I am for the opportunity, and as flattering as it was, I also feel disrespected. I feel like Levi doesn’t have faith in me. I feel he doesn’t think I can stand on my own two feet and survive. He implied that I couldn’t survive in the shark infested waters of PWS without his help. And anyone know knows me, and chat, most of you do, you know that betting against me is the biggest mistake you can make. So... I’m answering you publicly, Levi, if you should so happen to be watching this- thanks but no thanks, I’m not interested in joining your clique. I’m not interested in being a lackey. I’m not your stooge. I’m my own person, I don’t need strength in numbers when I have just pure strength. I don’t want help to achieve what I can on my own.
I’ll even do you one better, Levi. Not only am I refusing your offer and betting on myself, I’m making it my mission to take the two things that mean the most to you. I’m going to take your boys’ belts. I’m going to show you that not only can I stand on my own, but I can succeed on my own. I can dominate on my own. I can be the best in this company on... my... own. And when your little world is crumbling around you, when I tear your house down, when I fracture your family, the only walls around you... will be my Wall of Death!”
Two quick clicks of the mouse and the lights turn off and Tayler pushes back from her computer desk. She sighs, standing up and grabbing her drink. She takes another sip and walks into the kitchen, where she pulls her phone out of her back pocket. She swipes a few times and starts typing out a message.
“You may want to check my latest YouTube video.”

Hey everybody…
I feel it’s been a long time since I actually had time to sit down and speak to all of you people. Things really haven’t been going in the way that I had hoped for them to go. On the last show I was supposed to be in the ring competing against Moondust but that right was quickly taken away from me. It was taken away not because I didn’t want to go down to the ring and fight because I did have every intention of doing so, but because the trainers in this company told me that I just wasn’t cleared to wrestle.
It really sucks when you think about everything that I have been through during my time of being in this career. It just seems like my career has been that of a failure from the very beginning. I know I shouldn’t feel that way but I have excelled at every single thing that I have put my mind too. As long as I gave it just the smallest of efforts I would instantly find myself being an overachiever and there wouldn’t be anything in this world that could stop me.
I guess everything started from my days as a little girl. I remember going through the system of being a foster child. My brother Todd better known to the wrestling world as Teddy and I went from house to house, and we lived in so many different homes. Life seemed to be absolutely terrible and it wasn’t until one lucky day where a family finally adopted us together. We found a wonderful home within the Warren family and it felt really great to finally belong to something.
Todd had always looked out for me and he did everything in his power to protect me. I watched him become Valedictorian of his class and eventually find his way to finding the love of his life in rock music and playing with Kate Steele who would become his eventual wife. I always questioned and wondered what would become of me. Of course I did the high school thing but even at the age of 16 I felt like I was worth more than that. I walked into my brother’s footsteps and became Valedictorian of my class but I needed more than just that.
I needed to go beyond my own limits. I needed to go PLUS ULTRA!!! It was at that moment that I witnessed one of my favorite wrestlers wrestling in the company that my brother was at. I met him and he taught me how to wrestle. That was at the age of 16 but despite everything I have always overachieved at wrestling has always been the one thing that things haven’t gone my way. I have always struggled. I have always been put on the backburner and I thought that being here in PWS Apex would really give me a chance to shine again.
I thought I would be able to turn things around and showcase that this 23 year old has all of the ability in the world. So far I have been far off from the woman that I know I should be. I haven’t been living in my brother’s legacy and things have mostly resulted in that of a failure. I need to do better and I know it is hard considering I am attached to a wrestling family. There are so many questions that I need answered and the main thing is if I have the ability to really become something.
So far I am disappointed in myself. That match with Heather Haze didn’t go in the way that I had hoped and since that day I have been dealing with a concussion. I might be foolish wanting to get into the ring again but I can’t be a failure. I have to rise back up and I have to showcase that this puppy has a bite that far outweighs the strength of her bark.
I not only have to talk up what I am about to do but I need to showcase it.
That brings me to this match on Riot because I have the chance to finally turn things around. I have the chance to make a name for myself, and to finally prove that I belong to be here.
I guess that brings me to this match and it seems like the perfect match to get myself into gear. I have a huge match against the Mosh Pit Princess Tayler Parks. Just by glancing at her I know I will have my work cut out for me. Tayler is a woman who has a very strong MMA background. That means she has the ability to wear her opponents down with holds after holds. She is a master of striking and there are so many different ways that she knows how to destroy her opponent.
Add that in addition to the fact that she was part of so many different bands she has a certain edge to her. An edge that she rebelled against her upbringing and pretty much found her own way. I can honestly respect that about her. She simply went out and she paved her own way for herself. I wish I could have been fortunate enough to have the type of income that she has but that wasn’t me.
That doesn’t make me worthless though. I may not have had the wealth but it was always my brother and I together in every single foster home. Even though things may have been rough it has only made us stronger in the end and I feel like I can take on anything. I feel like I can rebound and I think I can take it to you. Tayler you obviously are bigger than me and have more strength than me but I wouldn’t be so quick to judge my shortcomings in those areas. What I lack in size I definitely make up in youth.
I think my speed will give me an advantage and I will dance circles around you. You are basically just coming into this company but for a woman like myself it’s time I break out of my shell. I have to overcome you Tayler. I have to finally show everyone that I can be something.
Through hell or high water I will do my best to beat you… I have too… It’s all or nothing and you will see what it means to have Puppy Power. Best of luck you definitely will need it but I won’t lose anymore especially when I have so much riding on this match…
Dawn Warren didn’t have that many friends. As a matter of fact her life felt like it was empty. She was involved in one relationship that didn’t really end in the way that she had wanted but now was the time to really focus on her. She would join Bella Madison at the gym for a day of working out. Dawn had walked through the doors of the gym and she smiled as she spotted Bella exercising as she was doing some simple cardio of Jumping Jacks just to get her heart rate moving. Dawn smiles as she walks over to Bella and waves at her.
“Hey Bella you seem to be quite the busy one with your workout…”
Bella smiles in return as she looks back at Dawn.
“I have to stay in shape… Have to showcase why I am a champion. You ready to start off with some training. I know you have been waiting to get back into the flow of things and I am here to help you…”
Dawn keeps her eyes locked on Bella as she just grins.
“Thank you so much for honestly doing this for me. I am happy that Laura had set this up and…”
Bella however shakes her head as she looks back at Dawn.
“Listen Dawn I wouldn’t even worry about what she said on the last show. The truth is I would have helped you out anyway. You seem like a sweet girl and considering everything you have been through I would do whatever it takes to help you get back on track. I just want to make sure that we do things in the right way. Concussions are nothing to play with and I want to make sure you feel fully comfortable about trying to take this training session to the next level. If you don’t feel at one hundred percent we could maybe build up into training. I know we could go out and get i….”
Before Bella could even finish her statement that is when Dawn looks directly into her eyes and she screams at the top of her lungs.
“ICE CREAM?! Yes that actually sounds like a great idea. An amazing sundae sounds like it could be such a great date for the both of us. Well friends date you know what I am trying to say!”
Bella raises her eyes in return.
“Call it a done deal. Let’s get somewhat of a workout in and we can maybe go to an ice cream parlor. I know I would have no problem in doing such…”
Dawn looks back at Bella and she can’t help but cry. Tears begin to flow down the pink haired beauty’s face and Bella raises her eyes in return as she looks over at Dawn.
“Are you okay Dawn?!”
Dawn wipes the tears out of her eyes looking back at Bella.
“Yeah I am fine… It’s just its very rare for me to really hang out with people my own age. That has been something that really hasn’t existed since I was with my boyfriend Dillon. The two of us had a strong connection but I guess I scared him away because I was too much into trying to have sex for the first time and I don’t think he really liked me trying to push him. We were high school sweethearts but he just up and about left me. I should have saw the writing on the wall when he got himself a female roommate…”
Bella looks at Dawn as she places an arm on her shoulder.
“Ohhh… Don’t worry about any of that. Maybe he wasn’t for you and there are a lot more people out there. One day you will find the one that is destined to be with you but for right now you should just focus on your career and being the best woman that you possibly can…”
Dawn sighs.
“I really want to do just that but I feel I have so much pressure to live up too especially considering when my big brother and his wife are big time wrestlers and I don’t want to let them or their legacy down. The Warren name means a lot to me and I just want to continue to make it mean something…”
Bella nods her head in agreement.
“And I can understand how you are feeling considering I am a second generation star myself. The two of us have a lot in common…”
Dawn just politely smiles as she looks at Bella.
“Thank you for all of this Bella. I honestly think that you have the potential to be my best friend. I don’t want to force anything but considering you are from Manhattan and I am a short hour train ride away in Long Island New York this is a match made in heaven. You can help me get back on track not just physically but also on an emotional level. It’s like we are both two women who were cut from the same cloth…”
Bella smiles.
“I feel the same way as well… You are a good person Dawn and let’s just continue to build this friendship up by doing things in the gym and getting that ice cream… However I want to see you at the top of your game for your first match back so let’s get you into wrestling shape shall we?”
With that Dawn could only smile in return. It was going to be the start of something fantastic. Dawn had finally found someone she could bond with and this was only just the beginning of the start of what looked to be a great bond between friends.
