Getting back in the wrestling ring again. Seattle, Washington. Thursday 8th October (Off Camera)
It's been hard times for Shawn, since he took a few months out of wrestling, due to not being mentally ready to get in the ring. More so, the pandemic happened, and Shawn wasn't able to do anything. He still lives with his parents because he has never been able to afford a place of his own. Shawn shakes his head, wondering what to do to keep himself occupied during the pandemic. He had trampoline outside and uses it regularly to get better at being balanced for wrestling, but also was a jumping jack as well.
Shawn lies in his bed because of the boredom he's feeling. Since the pandemic happened, Shawn has argued with his parents quite a bit, he was always stuck at home and had neglected everything about himself. Shawn's talking to himself to say this.
Shawn Young: "If I'm this bored right now, then it means I need to be active and do something about it. What can I do to get the hell out of here?"
Shawn sighs with the music in the background for distraction, but as he looked at the walls, there were posters of him being a star, and he looked at them for a long time. Shawn sat up and said this as a way to get away from his parents for a while. Not that they had a massive bust-up for Shawn to leave, but just more than usual.
Shawn Young: "That's it; why did I ignore being a wrestler for so long? Wrestling is going to be a way back in the business. I don't think I can come back to Action Wrestling after my poor performance in the company, especially how I messed up a Cruiserweight title match. So I need to start completely fresh elsewhere. I see what company I can find online."
Shawn sat up from his bed and turned the computer on, waiting for it to load up. As it loaded up, he went on google and looked for the top companies in wrestling. There were some he heard of from his mentor, but he doesn't want to be in the same company as him. However, on searching for a company, there was one that caught his eye. One that strikes him as somewhere he could feel free, and a company his mentor never mentioned to him. Apex Wrestling.
Shawn Young: "This Apex Wrestling company looks promising. I could go and apply for them right now, but I see what my parents think, although I'll be happier than them to get out of the house and do something I love doing. I think I've never been more ready than ever to come back to the business and make myself a star. Most importantly, to get friends too."
Shawn didn't have any friends because he was way too busy to be a professional wrestler at the time and social clubs he went but still couldn't find anyone he has anything in common with. He leaves the computer on and left his bedroom to go downstairs to where his parents are, and Shawn says this.
Shawn Young: "You know, I've been thinking. Since we've argued a bit too much, I've neglected the one thing that made me leave the house in the first place."
Liam Young (Shawn's dad): "Wrestling around the world?"
Shawn Young: "Yes. I don't know why it came to my mind that being here hasn't helped me in the slightest. I'm so sorry for arguing with you and mum lately."
Lily Young (Shawn's mum): "No, don't feel bad. This pandemic has been hard on all of us since we can't see other members of the family. What's this about wrestling you want to get back doing?"
Shawn Young: "I need to get out of the house, even if it's for a few days. I thought, why not do something I've done before. I've felt like the reason why I've been off the last few months is that I'm bored. Wrestling is still going on, but from what I read from a couple of companies, it's behind closed doors."
Liam Young: "I think wrestling will be a good idea. You thinking of signing back with that other company you were a part of?"
Shawn shook his head, still trying to forget about the match he had during his time in the company his father was thinking of and states this.
Shawn Young: "I can't go back to Action Wrestling, not after messing up a huge opportunity to win a Cruiserweight title months ago and get trashed on for my efforts. However, I found a company that's looking for fresh talent. They've not had new wrestlers in this company for a while and wondered what you both thought about it."
Lily Young: "I think it will be useful for you. Getting out of the house will be a fantastic idea. You still have what it takes, from what I've seen from you on the trampoline, although if we had the money and you had someone in your backyard to wrestle with, we'd buy you a wrestling ring.
Liam Young: "I agree with your mum, son. It will be good for you to get out of the house and more importantly, get your own money once again and continue to save up for a house. So you said you've found a company, what's it called?"
Shawn Young: "It's a place called Pro Wrestling Syndicate Apex. They are basing themselves in New York now behind closed doors. So there will be no worries of me getting the virus. It might mean I have to be there for a while, but at least I'd be able to move around and do something I love to do. This time, I won't allow any title opportunities go to waste."
His parents nodded at Shawn, completely understanding he might be away for months at a time, due to the pandemic or whatever the rules will be, regarding if he had to stay at a hotel for months or able to come home and go back to wrestle in New York.
Lily Young: "We want you to be happy and if you feel getting back inside of a wrestling ring will help, then power to you. I say if anything to sign up to them and see what they say. However, because you will be travelling, I brought you this wrestling face mask a while ago."
Shawn Young: "Oh, wow, thanks, mum. It's great, keeping me protected from getting the virus. Problem is I do need to find a trainer to work on a few moves with me. I think I can perform moves on whoever my first opponent will be. I can't depend on my mentor; he has other business to take care of."
Liam Young: "While he can't be there to support you, he may know a trainer that will be able to help you and maybe be friends with the trainer too because you will need friends if you're staying away for quite some time."
Shawn Young: "Yeah, I'll give my mentor a call after I've sent my details in. The world will witness The Young Hit Wonder performing inside of a wrestling ring again. I get the paperwork sorted, regarding getting a contract signed for Pro Wrestling Syndicate Apex right now and then call my mentor on getting a trainer for me."
Shawn went back upstairs after agreeing with his parents that he needs to get back in the wrestling ring, but what he didn't tell them was that Shawn wanted and needed to get out of the house, having more room to himself. Despite wrestling for a few years, he still didn't have enough money, and he needed to get back in wrestling as soon as possible.
Shawn went back on the computer and saw the Apex Wrestling website was still on the internet and with his parents coming with an agreement, Shawn nodded, but he saw the last new wrestler to come in Apex was back in July.
Shawn Young: "Wonder why this company doesn't promote as much? No new wrestlers since July? I'll do something about that. Glad I picked this company over many of the others. They deserve to have me for sure."
Shawn wrote everything down, regarding his details, his card details and history of his health. Everything essential for Apex Wrestling bosses to know, including his introduction and telling them the kind of moves he'll do or in a few moves cases, moves he'd like to do in the ring. Once he got that sorted out, he got his mobile from his pocket and presses the name of his mentor and called up. When it stopped ringing, a man answered the phone to say this.
Shawn's mentor: "Hello, been way too long we last spoke on the phone."
Shawn Young: "Indeed, it is. I need a favour to ask. I'm getting back inside of a wrestling ring, and I need a trainer who can help me train for matches and someone to hang around with."
Shawn's mentor: "No problem. I'm glad you're back in the ring because you always had a ton of potential. Where are you thinking of joining?"
Shawn Young: "It's a company called Apex Wrestling."
Shawn's mentor: "I've never heard of them, but I give you credit, going to a company where you don't know anyone. It's benefited me when I joined Supreme Championship Wrestling where I made a few friends there. I'm sorry I won't be able to come and support you. I got a lot of stuff to do with other companies."
Shawn Young: "It's perfectly fine. Knew you were anyway. So you got anyone in mind?"
Shawn's mentor: "I do, there's this guy called Tristen O'Brien who's apologised to me and has always wanted to get back in the business. I give you his number via text, so you have a trainer on your side. Where is it you need him?"
Shawn Young: "At the moment, New York because the pandemic, you know."
Shawn's mentor: "I'm aware of that from my twin brother who's going through the same thing. I give you his number now and get things sorted for you."
Shawn Young: "Thank you."
Both said their goodbyes and cut each other off as Shawn only has to wait via e-mail or a phone call now from Apex Wrestling about the details he had sent off and when he was going to debut. His mentor does eventually get Tristen's number, and Shawn writes the number down on a piece of paper and then adds Tristen in his contacts. Now he has a trainer, although he gives him a call and gladly accepts as a favour from his former mentor's trainer who's moved on. Certainly was going to benefit Shawn being in the wrestling business once again and getting things back on track with his career.
A day later, he got contact with Apex Wrestling via e-mail, stating his application is accepted and is due to make his debut on the next Riot show. The text's Tristen to state about the date of his debut and where they had to go. Shawn ran downstairs and says to his parents, who were watching TV.
Shawn Young: "I'm officially a professional wrestler again in Apex Wrestling. I'll start in a couple of weeks."
Lily Young: "Congratulations, Shawn. We will be watching Apex Wrestling on TV, cheering you on because we will always support you."
Liam Young: "You got a trainer?"
Shawn Young: "Yes, I have. Funny enough, it's my mentor's former trainer named Tristen O'Brien. Meeting him in New York early next week to get some wrestling training in that I need before I face against whoever it could be from Aiden Reynolds to Dickie Watson to Sierra Williams. Could be anyone, but I need to get rid of the ring rust before stepping in the ring. I better get some of my stuff packed."
Lily Young: "Don't forget about your face mask as well."
Shawn Young: "I won't."
Shawn goes upstairs and brings his gym work/wrestling bag as he goes to find his wrestling gear since he hadn't worn it for months. He eventually found them in the closet as he places them in his bag. He gets a few clothes too, including his underwear and socks. Shawn pulls out a draw and found his passport and puts it in the bag as well. Shawn goes online and orders his flight tickets to fly to and from New York. Shawn places his passport and his facemask in his bag since he's not going anywhere for a while. Shawn then zips up his bag, leaving it in the corner of his room, so he knows where everything is and will pack more during the week and in a suitcase too.
Now Shawn can go outside and use the trampoline for a good reason of showing off his wrestling moves to get started to be a professional wrestler once again. Shawn's looking forward to meeting new faces of Apex Wrestling and most importantly, finding out who his opponent will be for Shawn's debut match in Apex.
----------------------------------------------------
Shawn's wrestling career restarts tomorrow night. New York City, New York. Monday 26th October. (On Camera)
Seeing Shawn wasn't allowed to leave his hotel unless it's for wrestling in a match, he had to make do with not being able to bounce on a trampoline for now. He sits outside of his hotel room, on a balcony as he looks at the cars moving around the city and pedestrians walking in the streets with taxi's honking their horns loudly. He could see Statue Of Liberty from his balcony. Shawn gets the camera set up and begins to speak.
Shawn Young: "I never thought how hard I've been taking the pandemic since it happened. All this time, I have been bored to tears at home because of not being able to do anything. Luckily, I had an idea a few weeks ago that I've been attempting to do for a few months now, didn't know where to restart my wrestling career. Apex Wrestling was a place I knew I could restart wrestling since last year. It's been a hard road, and I'm looking forward to getting in the ring with Miles Kasey who's pretty much like me in the ring in terms of styles from videos I've seen, so that's going to be one interesting and fun match indeed."
Although Shawn had made changes to his gear since the last time with his LED glasses and his leather coat specially designed for him, he smiles, excited on the opportunity he'll have.
Shawn Young: "From the videos I've seen Miles, you're one impressive wrestler. You won yourself a title, Apex United Championship for one hundred and thirty-eight days. That shows how well you defended that title. I know for sure you've taken on all comers for your title. Surely, that deserves a ton of my respect, especially how alike our wrestling styles are. I love high flying matches as well as doing them, hence why I love to jump on trampolines, and it got me into this sport, especially from watching videos of wrestlers wrestling on trampolines to start their careers."
Shawn was only a small kid when he first got into wrestling from watching guys on youtube jumping on the trampoline to use wrestling moves. Shawn drinks a bottle of water and continues.
Shawn Young: "With me, I'm not going to talk negatively because I don't know that much about you, other than being a dominating champion. I wonder why it is that you've not wrestled as much as you could have? Who knows, but what's important is you coming from the United Kingdom who are just as big on wrestling as the United States are. I'm sure it was difficult in the beginning to get to where you are now. Not an easy task."
Shawn nodded on everything he said so far and made a small introduction. Shawn didn't like to be in his hotel balcony and speaking, but it's something he had to do for now to keep safe.
Shawn Young: "Now, I have learnt a few more moves to my arsenal I've never done in the wrestling ring before, but I'd be honoured to show you what I can produce against you tomorrow night. I've never been mentally ready to wrestle. Last year, I wrestled for a company called Action Wrestling in the cruiserweight division. I had a good start, but I blew my chances to win the cruiserweight title and knew I couldn't come back. I admit on making mistakes in the ring as I'm sure you have too."
Shawn shook his head, still not getting it out of his mind that the Cruiserweight title loss affected him more than he'd thought.
Shawn Young: "So this jumping jack had to bow out of wrestling for a while. I wasn't mentally ready to get in the ring. Now I am, and I will not ever blow my chances of going for a title again. It's why I had to restart my career with Apex Wrestling, knowing a fresh start with seeing and facing new faces is what I needed. I've never looked forward to a match more than I have and the match we're about to have is going to blow through the roof of the arena, making the crowd stand up for the performance we're about to do tomorrow night."
Shawn gets a little jumpy and excited, even wearing the LED glasses and LED leather coat on due to how comfortable Shawn feels with them on.
Shawn Young: "I will perform moves I've never done in my life, but looking forward to showing you how high flying wrestling is done because I'm the best at balancing myself on the turnbuckle and the ropes as well which isn't easy to do. This Young Hit Wonder is coming back with a massive bang, and it all starts with you, Miles. I have a ton of respect for what you can do and how close you are to your friends in Apex. However, despite the respect I have, only one of us is going to win this match, and that will be me. I need to get a win so I know I'm back on track to where I started with wrestling like capturing a wrestling title when I was an eighteen-year-old kid from competing in the tournament to win one."
Shawn took a small break as he drinks more water from the bottle and places it down on the table before continuing.
Shawn Young: "I need to get back on winning titles again because I will not give up being a wrestler in this business and I've changed nearly everything, but my wrestling trousers which will be the same each time I get in the ring. Tomorrow night Miles, I will be the classic good old Jumping Jack to make the fans amazed on what I can deliver in the ring. I will be going out there to do everything in the rules I can to beat you for the win because that's the style of The Young Hit Wonder who's made a massive splash to Apex Wrestling and being the newcomer everyone will talk about. Good luck, Miles, because you will need it."
Shawn nods as he presses the button to stop the video from recording on his camera for the match, although the signs of him being rusty talking to the camera again showed from his speech, but hasn't lost the sense of who he used to be. Shawn sits on the balcony for a bit before it got dark quickly and got back in his hotel room to watch television for the day.

Let me tell you all something. Piranha bites....SUCK! I’ve been in some weird ass matches in my life time but nothing compares to having stitches in the weirdest damn places because after a scafold match, I found myself in a tank filled with those little bastards.. I have spent the better part of this entire month learning that stretching is not always a good thing.
I’ve also learned that I have the WORST luck with women.
And I don’t even know what the fuck I did this time.
2 Weeks Ago New York Express 10:30am
“Ah I have missed this damn city.” Miles smiles from behind the wheel, Nessa Wilde sitting in the front seat watching the lights pass by.
“It does feel good to be home,” she smiles brightly, “You sure you’re ok with dropping me off at dad’s?”
“Love, it’s completely fine, you haven’t seen him in months. You go, do what you need to do, I’m gonna settle and air out my place and if you feel up to it, you are more than welcome to join me there. Hopefully you’re not sick of me.”
“Course not! Are you kidding me? Besides the accident and taking care of the bites on your ass, this is only the beginning.” she gives him a kiss goodbye on her way out of the car. No signs that anything is wrong.
....then what the fuck happened?
I dropped her off at her dad’s...1 day passes, nothing...2...silenco...4 days later? I am calling, texting...NOTHING. Finally I get off my ass and go down to her dad’s shop.
Miles, looking pissed off tears through the streets of New York, “Hi, you’ve reached Nessa from Wilde Repairs and Racing, I’m unable to take your call at the moment but if you leave your name...” *click*
He pulls up, and he looks through the passenger window with confusion on his face for a moment before he throws it in park, steps out of his vehicle and looks at the building with even more confusion crossing his face, “What the-” to an empty front of the building where Wilde’s Repairs use to be is now dark, no signs and boarded up. He walks up and tries to peek through the cracks of the exposed windows only to see it completely emptied out. Only just a few days ago, he dropped her off right here. And now it’s like it wasn’t even here at all.
Where could she have gone?
Don’t Let Them See You Cry
Throw myself into work. I’ve called the police...it’s like they didn’t even exist according to them. They’d look into it...that’s all they would tell me.
Miles looks through his phone...all the memories that they shared in Vegas. Even that last hospital run, there’s one on there that made him laugh cause she insisted that she’d selfie with the one on his ass cheek.
“Memories....”
“That’s all Vegas is now, is just memories. Some good, some bad....and I come back to New York and somehow it manages to get worse.” he sighs and drops his phone and pulls out the small box out of his pocket and stares at it, “I don’t have answers but I don’t even know what else to say about it. I had the whole world right there, and somehow, it just vanished. I’ve kept it to myself because, how the hell do you even tell your friends that she’s just....gone.”
He just chucks it across his apartment and looks right at the camera with his blue-green eyes gleaming, tired though, “So I’ll just throw myself into what I do best and that is in the ring. Finally after weeks, I’m cleared and ready to go and I get one of the newcomers in PWS. Shawn Young. Welcome, you are in for a hell of a ride sir. Because I am officially out of fucks to give at this point. I have had to put myself on the shelf more times than I care to fucking count this year alone. 2020 can suck a bunch of diseased ridden cocks because I have just about had it.”
“It’s nothing personal, but I have to stop with this taking it on the chin bullshit. You have no idea how it has all felt. I’m bitter. So sorry you had to be there to witness how it’s gonna be from here on out but that’s just the way it is.”
He sits back for a moment and smirks almost wickedly, “As for Ryder....bruh, gonna lay it out for ya. I’m not done with you either. Look over your shoulder at every chance ya get because mate....I got plans for you.”
“And if you fuck up this tag title shot, know that I am gonna be the one to make sure that sweet Morgan is properly taken care in that ring.”
He goes back to looking sad for a moment, “Nessa, wherever you are....whatever I did...I am sorry. I just hope that you are ok, wherever you are.”
