For the week of April 7, 2019
Hellllooooo humans! I’m back with another edition of the Ryland Report ! My apologies for missing last week, as I was dealing with some personal matters. But this week we are hot on the road to Destiny, and we are going to take a look back at last week’s show, as well as take a look at the show coming up this week. It is great to see things going so well for the company, and I really am looking forward to seeing what we can accomplish at Destiny.
Okay, so in regards to the show last week, there were definitely some interesting moments. With Manny Martinez suspending Gracie Lopez for six months, only to have David and Star overturn that suspension and make it a two show suspension, and then David announcing that at Destiny, it will be a four way match for the United Championship, with Amelia Emery defending against Cynthia Hellsing, Miles Kasey, and Gracie Lopez. That is, depending on the health situation of the champion, as we learned that, on her way to the arena last week, Amelia was involved in a car accident, and was rushed to a local hospital. She was released the next morning as I understand it, but she has been very quiet and private regarding her status. As I understand it, she is scheduled to meet with her doctors on Monday to discuss being cleared to compete once more.
Now, speaking as if Amelia is good to go at Destiny, I hate to do it, but I have to question the decision to make this a four way match. We already have the four way main event, and I am finding it hard to justify each of Amelia’s challengers deserving a title shot. If you ask me, it should be just Amelia versus Cynthia, let Miles face Gracie to see who can be the next to get a shot. I know the type of champion Amelia wants to be, and she’ll be willing to take on At week’s main event, as it broke down into a massive brawl. I do hope we don’t see anymore of this opponents teaming up for a bit, as I personally find it overplayed and predictable. It almost always end in chaos. Now, this week is going to be interesting, as I get to host a live Ryland Report on Riot with special guests Alexis Makarios and Daniel Russow. It is sure to be one hell of a confrontation, as these two have some serious bad blood with each other as of late.
Also on this week’s show, as I stated we will get a health update from United Champion Amelia Emery, Alsowe will see the debut of newcomer Rockin Lunatic. The main event will see Alexis Makarios facing astacy O’Brien, and Trina Roberts will take in Cheis Blade. Camilla Rodriguez will also be in action, as she takes on Morgan Baker.
Now for the going’s on I’m the company. We have a couple of new signings in Rockin Lunatic and Dillon Crowe. Admittedly I’m not that familiar with Lunatic, but I’ve been following the noise that Crowe has been making on social media. He has definitely not been making many friends, so we will see what the future in the company has in store for this young man.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this edition of the Ryland Report, and be sure to tune in to TNT this Friday as we are live from. Charlotte, North Carolina for a Riot! See ya guys later. Ryland out!
