Max entered the living room, where Carmen was sitting with wedding magazines and her laptop spread out around her on the floor. One of their two cats sat on her lap while Carmen was taking notes on some ideas.
"Focusing really hard on your match I see."
"That match is the last thing I need to be worried about to be honest. Our wedding however.. that's something I've got on my mind this week."
"Whatever you come up with.. I know I'll enjoy it."
"But a little of your input would be nice."
Max nodded and sat down next to her.

Carmen Rodriguez Collateral Damage Champion
And New Collateral Damage Champion, yet here I am opening the show. But in the grander scheme of things, if you think about it, you want to start the show with one of your best champions, besides my beloved Max of course, who I know will be at my side as I walk to the ring. So kicking it off with your hottest, most talented, and overall, the BEST NEW TALENT to sign with PWS: Apex in 2022, Carmen Rodriguez. There is no one better than ME to open the show. No onto who I'll have the pleasure of decimating like I have done EVERYONE they've ever put in my way.
Dawn Warren, where have you been? From what I could tell, when going back in the annals of this company, you couldn't hack it back in 2021, and you suddenly disappeared from action. What happened? Did you break a leg or something? The only rumors I could find about you were that you were a bookworm and from what I could see, a major loser in the ring and in life. Maybe if you got your nose out of those books and focused on your abilities in the ring, you might actually get somewhere. But I can tell you right now, you do NOT have what it takes to defeat me. I am the Collateral Damage Champion. I am the Golden Goddess. I am The Goddess of the Death Match. Did you see what I did to Dylan Howell at Crusade? I pushed him beyond his limits, I took his championship from him. He passed that torch to me, knowing full and well that he had found the person who could give this title the HONOR it deserves.
Defeating Dylan Howell was no easy feat. He was one of the hardest competitor I have faced since joining PWS: APEX and he commands a certain level of respect which I will give him. Becoming the Collateral Damage Champion is something you will never be able to do Dawn. And instead of defending that Collateral Damage Championship, I am stuck facing someone who isn't fit to challenge for it. So it's best that you take yourself back to the library and stay there, become an old, shriveled up librarian. Stay away from professional wrestling, before someone like me ends all of your dreams of ever walking again. Though, you should feel honored for getting to take on the champion.. too bad for you.. that your tiny rub from me.. will only last you a few seconds. You wont get fifteen minutes of fame at the sake of my name. Your moment in the spotlight will be brief and you will be just another footnote in my story. You are stepping into the ring with a woman who will make quick work of you. So I do hope you will come out there and prove me wrong..
But I doubt it.

"You ready to go babe."
"Yeah, just a minute, trying to check us all in for the flight."
"Well Elena's ready to go and I am. We are just waiting for you. Come on.. I don't want to go alone.."
"You won't.. you are never going anywhere alone. I'm always going to be right at your side."
"I know.. besides.. while we are on the flight, I can look over some more Wedding plans.. we still need to pick a date you know.."
Max stood off the bed, tossing his bag over his shoulder, which held both of their titles. He moved to Carmen and pulled her into a passionate kiss, before taking her hand and leading her out of the room. The world was theirs.. and he would make sure of that.
