Entering Blood City
Have you ever heard of Blood City? Do you know where this city is located? If you answered no to both of those questions then you are in for a real treat. Blood City is a rundown town with boarded up shops and broken glass littering the gravel road that runs in the middle of town. The city itself can’t be found on any map. It’s just a city that people come to and never want to leave.
Just before entering the city limits, a fairly decent tavern stands just off the right side of the highway. On the outside, it looks just like the city as the shudders are falling down and the parking lot is full of potholes.
On this particular day, the clock just strikes 11 am when a 69 Plymouth convertible turns into the rundown parking lot. The car itself is just idling before the engine cuts out and the driver side door creaks open. A dark purple boot with a seven inch heel gets planted into the ground as a second boot is set down next to it. A woman standing five feet tall steps out of the vehicle as her blonde hair falls over her right shoulder. She looks around as her deep blue eyes are covered by dark tinted sunglasses.
“Where in the fuck am I?” she asks herself while looking around the abandoned parking lot. The woman closes the door on her car and walks toward the tavern. She stops short and glances up at the sign. The sign itself reads THE BROKEN CLAVICLE. The woman tilts her head to the side while rolling her eyes. She steps through the swinging doors and nearly falls over a broken chair leg. “Holy fuck,” she shouts which catches the attention of the lone bartender.
“Huh,” the bartender blurts out as he turns his eyes toward the small blonde woman standing inside his tavern. “Well, this is a pleasant surprise,” he says while getting up off his stool. Violet grunts while making her way towards the bar. “Welcome to the Broken Clavicle, my name is Dagon. What can I get you?” he says while wiping down the bar top with a recently cleaned towel.
Violet slides onto the bar stool and places her arms onto the bar top. “A shot of whisky,” Violet orders as Dagon gives her a soft smile, grabs a shot glass, places down in front of her and pours her shot of Jack Daniels. Violet wraps her hand around the glass while looking up at the cracked mirror behind the bar. “Where am I?” asks Violet as she swirls the contents around in her glass. “Right now, you are in the Broken Clavicle Tavern. Just a mile down the road is Blood City,” answers Dagon.
“Blood City?” she asks him before tossing back the shot of Jack. The smoothness of the liquid slides down her throat and settles in her stomach as Violet looks at Dagon. “What exactly is Blood City?” she asks. Dagon pours her another shot as he puts a glass down in front of him. “Blood City used to be a wonderful place to live until they showed up,” he answers with a hint of anger in his voice.
Violet raises one eyebrow up as she tilts her head up just slightly. “They!?” she asks him while reaching into her left front pocket and pulling out eight quarters. She places them onto the bar top while sliding them over towards Dagon. Dagon takes the coins into his hand and gives her a smile. “Three months ago, four individuals led by a bald man came through Blood City. They didn’t say anything but the bald man was barking orders,” Dagon answers as Violet uses her right hand to rub her chin. “Do you know which way they went?” she asks him with a subtle smirk on her face.
Dagon shakes his head while wiping down the bar top. “No matter, I will find them,” she says with a hint of anger in her voice. “I don’t think you should, lady. Those individuals looked scary,” Dagon retorts as Violet just smiles. Without saying another word, she steps back out of the tavern and stands next to her car.
The world probably wishes that I would just cower away in a dark place and never resurface again. That is what I feel everyone in this damn company wants me to do but I will not give them the satisfaction of my demise. I bet ever since my last fight with Gracie Lopez, everyone probably thinks that I am easy fucking pickens.
Well, I got news for all of you motherfucking idiots. I AM STILL HERE! You see there is someone in this company who I have unfinished business with but I will wait for my moment to strike. I will wait till that asshole is too vulnerable. Until then, I will enjoy playing with whatever new toy Star Stormz sends my way.
That’s where Cameron Rodriguez comes into full view. I have seen your last few matches and I am not impressed. Yes, you may have a slight advantage in the striking game but I have the experience. Last week, you faced someone who should be cleaning the ring and not wrestling in one. That didn’t show me anything to make me feel you are a threat. You spend more time worrying about Max Delgado than you do about your opponent and that is detrimental to your health.
You see I have already tasted gold in this company and I will have gold again. It’s true that my luck in the ring hasn’t been good but I am the one who can change it. I will do it with viciousness and extreme displeasure for morons who disrespect the sport. All of these losses are just fueling the fire that has been burning for the past few months.
You can say whatever you fucking want Cameron because it will do nothing to help you. You see my fight isn’t with you. You are just a means to a damn end. You aren’t even important enough for me to even consider you a fucking threat. The pain I inflict on you will be more than you can handle. I don’t care who you are fucking because they can’t help you.
As I mentioned last week, there is one person who will soon feel my wrath but I will use every person put before me as a means to get this fucker’s attention. Cameron, I don’t give two fucking shits if you take this personal. Because at the end of the day, CRAZY loves MISERY.
Before Violet gets back into the car, she pulls out her cell phone and presses the redial button while placing it against her ear. “Found them,” she says into the phone. The scene slowly fades as she steps back into the car and closing the door.
