The #1 potato fan in PWS didn’t fare so well in his debut match, but that didn’t put Spuds Guzzman Jr down at all. The young potato farmer picked himself up by his bootstraps and pressed on, all while spreading love for and enjoying taters of all kinds.
He even found himself a friend! One that comes from the sea! One that also seems to be down on his luck in the win column. The decided, maybe they could find more success together, let the land meet the water. Let the cephalopod and the farmer join forces as the greatest tag team in PWS history, and truly wrestling history. It’s time for the PWS arrival of….
Fish And Chips.
Spuds sits at the end of a long dock, his feet dangling off the end, a relaxed, warm friendly smile rests on his face. In his hand, is…...you guessed it a giant raw potato, a few bites are already missing, after a moment his eyes catch the camera and his smile gets a little bigger.
Spuds: Well howdy there friends. I do hope your all well, and I hope your eating your potatoes so you can grow to be big and strong. I’m just sitting here, enjoying the scenery before my new friend and I make our debut as a team. Squid-Man and I hit it off pretty well, and we decided to team up. Yes, Fish and Chips are arriving soon into a ring near you!
He gives a slight not, and takes a casual bite of raw potato, well at least he added some seasoning this time.
Spuds: He even introduced me to this butter substitute. I’m not supposed to eat real butter, doctor says im allergic or something, and we all know you gotta have butter on your mashed and baked potatoes! So what was I ever to do? Thankfully Squid-Man introduced me to this butter like substitute, made from preservatives or something. I don’t know. I didn’t believe it was possible, but to my surprise, it was in fact not really butter. Who know?
Spuds shrugs.
Spuds: So, it’s Alexis Makarios and Audrey Russow, both former tag champs in their own right, but with different partners! Maybe that means they won’t work well together or something right? I mean Squid-Man and I are a new team but everyone knows Fish and Chips go well together, who doesn’t love Fish and Chips?
Spuds waits for a response, but one doesn’t come. Of course nobody else is there to respond, well other than the cameraman, but they don’t really exist. Unless it’s a Cleo Phillips promo. FUn fact, Spuds, like Cleo trained at The Lyons Den. Just don’t tell Alexander that.
Spuds: I hear Miss Makarios is dealing with some personal issues, and I feel for you friend. You know what you need, you know what will turn that frown upside down?
He pauses with a smile, it’s pretty obvious what comes next.
Spuds: Some potatoes! I can whip you up a potato casserole that will dazzle and delight you so much, you’ll forget all about what was bringing you down. The other day my good friend Ted was upset because his wife finally admitted she hated his cowboy boots. I cooked him up my casserole, and all his worries vanished. He decided as long as he liked those cowboys boots, it didn't matter and he could wear them wherever he wanted. He could wear them into outer space if he wanted to!.
Spuds pauses to take another bite of potato.
Spuds: Whatever happens, I do with you ladies the best of luck. Let’s just go out there and have some fun, then after can can got yo my friend Mary's party and celebrate with some potato vodka.
He grins.
Spuds: What? I know how to party you know.
He grins again.
Spuds: Alexis and Audrey, just be sure you come ready. I know Squid-Man will be, and I too will be bringing POTATO POWER. Fish and Chips will leave a taste of sour vinegar in your mouth if you aren’t. Whatever happens, we’re going to have so much fun. Now, if you’ll excuse me. I should probably discuss some strategy with my partner now.
He finishes off the potato with one final bite and giant gulp, winks at the camera and promptly dives into the water. The surface bubbles a bit as he disappears underneath.

Dear daughter, hold your head up high. There’s a world outside that’s passing by. Dear daughter, never lose yourself. Remember that you’re like nobody else. Life throws you into the unknown. And you feel like you’re out there all alone.
But these are words that every girl should have a chance to hear. There will be love, there will be pain, there will be hope, there will be fear. And through it all, year after year. Stand or fall, I will be right here, for you.
Chapter One Devastation
Numbness….followed by pain...and sorrow….and heartbreak...and the utter feeling of being completely helpless.
(We sat there in silence, wondering what the doctors would come in and say. It had been such a rough couple weeks. After Dishonored, Dan and I had to rush back because Aurora had spiked a fever. The past week or so had been filled with medical tests and doctor’s visits. It was all happening so fast, it was like a whirlwind. We didn’t even have time to grieve the loss of the tag titles...they just...didn’t seem to matter anymore.
Audrey Russow: I can’t believe this…
Daniel Russow: It’ll be okay...it has to be.
(I look at him, already tearing up.)
Audrey Russow: Dan...what if it’s not? What are we going to do?
(He wraps an arm around me, trying to comfort me, but I can hear the shaking in his voice. I know he’s just as scared as I am.)
Daniel Russow: Then we’ll work through it, whatever it is. Nothing is going to happen to our babygirl.
Audrey Russow: You don’t know that, though.
(I never wanted him to see me like this. This is a side of me I’ve kept hidden from him. This is the side of me that has lost so much in my life, scared to death of losing someone else. This was my worst nightmare coming to reality. I try to wipe away my tears as there is a knock on the door, and it opens. The doctor walks in, and closes the door behind him.)
Doctor: Hello, I’m Doctor Benfield. I’m a pediatric nephrologist, and I’m going to be seeing over Aurora’s case.
Audrey Russow: Nephrologist? Wh-what’s going on with our daughter?
Dr. Benfield: To be blunt...her kidneys are failing. She is experiencing Chronic Kidney Disease.
Daniel Russow: What does that mean?
Dr. Benfield: She’s going to need a kidney transplant. The sooner, the better.
(It felt like a bullet, straight to the heart. I felt tears welling up in my eyes again already.)
Audrey Russow: I’ll give her mine.
Dr. Benfield: Well, sadly, it’s not that simple. While parents usually are matches for patients, it’s not a guarantee. There are several blood tests we will need to run to make sure.
Audrey Russow: Whatever you need, I’ll do.
Daniel Russow: We both will. As long as one of us is a match, we’re good.
Dr. Benfield: Correct.
Daniel Russow: Alright, we’ll take it one step ata a time.
Dr. Benfield: We can get the blood work today, and should have results in about a week.
Audrey Russow: Okay, that sounds good.
Chapter Two No Match
(It had been...oh about a week since the doctor’s appointment where we found out the news. It had been a stress filled week, full of emotions. The day had been long, spent basically waiting by the phone, as I was scrolling through my phone. I was looking at my messages, and saw the text from Lexi...Alexis….I realized I hadn’t gotten back to her.)
Audrey Russow: Damn…
Daniel Russow: What’s up?
Audrey Russow: Oh, nothing. Just realized I forgot to do something.
Daniel Russow: What’d you forget?
Audrey Russow: Just...forgot to get back to one of my friends that had checked in on us.
Daniel Russow:...one of your friends?
(I let out a sigh, I had the feeling he knew already.)
Audrey Russow: Alexis texted me the day we had the appointment. I meant to get back to her, but I’ve been so distracted by everything.
(I could feel the angst across the room, as he let out a sigh.)
Daniel Russow: You do remember what we went through with her and Haze, right? You remember everything they said about us, about me? You remember everything they did to us, right?
Audrey Russow: We weren’t exactly innocent, Dan. Aand I used to be so close wih Alexis...hell she was THE reason I didn’t walk away when all that shit with Lycra went down.
Daniel Russow: So that justifies y9ou going and denouncing the Russow name?
Audrey Russow: I...what?
Daniel Russow: I saw that little segment you did, where you went to her to “smooth things over” and how you were all “I’m only a Russow through marriage” blah blah bullshit.
Audrey Russow: Hold on, first off...no, I’m not denouncing the Russow name, but I am also more than a Russow. And be honest, don’t you think the way you and your brothers treated her could have helped with her going off the deep end? Always calling her homewrecker, trolling her on Twitter?
Daniel Russow: So now you’re justifying her actions?
Audrey Russow: What!? NO! I’m not justifying anything! What I’m trying to do is make a name for myself as a competitor without the name Russow being attached so I don’t get handed things. I’m not saying you or Levi or Jesse were handed anything, but you three built so much that anyone associated with your name...they have a certain standing and standard to live up to and hold. I want to make my own name, build my own path. Back in t he day, before the Russows, Alexis was one of the closest friends I had in the business, so I’m sorry, but I’d like to get that back.
Daniel Russow: What about Cam? Emma? Bella? Do they not matter?
Audrey Russow: When was the last time we talked to any of them? Hell, Jesse and Cam named their son after you, and we haven’t said anyting to them. People drift apart.
Daniel Russow: They’re not just friends, they’re family!
Audrey Russow: And family doesn’t HAVE to agree on everything! I’m going to at least SEE if things can be worked out with Alexis. I HOPE yu can support me in this, to try and see the best in people.
Daniel Russow: I don’t trust her, Audrey.
Audrey Russow: But you trust me, don’t you?
Daniel Russow: Yeah, but-
Audrey Russow: But nothing, Dan. I’m not getting in over my head.
(Just then, our phones both go off with a twitter notification, as Dan is the first to look at his. He opens his phone, looks at it, then tosses his phone to the side.)
Daniel Rusow: Course…
Audrey Russow: What is it?
Daniel Russow: They posted the card for the next Riot.
(He starts to get up.)
Audrey Russow: Okay? What’s wrong with it?
Daniel Russow: I’m not going. Not booked. I’ll stay here with Aurora. You have fun with your new tag partner. (With that, he leaves the room. I guess to go check on Aurora, as I pick my phone up to look to see what has him in such a fit. I scroll through, and I see it. I let out a sigh, as this couldn’t have come at a worse time. But before I can really wrap my head around everything, my phone rings.)
Audrey Russow: Hello?
Dr. Benfield: Yes, Audrey? This is Dr. Benfield at Children’s. I was calling with the results of the blood work.
Audrey Russow: Oh..oh yeah. Are we matches?
Dr. Benfield: So, it’s not as simple as just matching the blood types, there are several different markers we have to look for. Unfortunately, neither of you had all the markers matching.
Audrey Russow: Wh-what does that mean?
Dr. Benfield: i’m sorry, but neither of you are matches.
(He must have heard me start to cry thouh the phone, because he tried to offer something immediately.)
Dr. Benfield: But, your’s was very close. It’s not a stretch to imagine that if there was a relative of your’s who would be willing to donate, they’d be a match.
Audrey Russow: What about a brother?
Dr. Benfiled: Yes, exactly.
Audrey Russow: I’ll have to talk to him.
Dr. Benfield: Certainly. Give him my number, and if he’s willing to get the test done, have him call and get it scheduled.
Audrey Russow: O..okay.
Dr. Benfiled: Things will work out, we’ll make sure of it.
Audrey Russow: I hope so. I’ll go talk to my brother. Have a good day.
Dr. Benfiled: You too, I’m sorry I didn’t have better news.
Audrey Russow: I understand. Thank you.
(I hang up the phone, and I sit there for a moment, crying in silence. I try to compose myself, as I ick up my phone, and send a text.)
Hey, sorry haven’t gotten back to you. Lots of stuff going on, will explain when we get to the arena, need to talk in person. Hope all is well with you.
(I send the text to Alexis, as I set my phone down, and get up to walk into the other room, where I see Dan watching over Aurora as she sleeps.)
Daniel Russow: Came in here and she was asleep. Glad we didn’t wake her up with our yelling.
(I couldn’t say anything, too choked up. He looked at me and I guess he knew something was instantly wrong.)
Daniel Russow: Aud...I’m sorry, I just am not there yet-
Audrey Russow: It’s...not that.
Daniel Russow:...what is it?
Audrey Russow:...We’re...neither of us are a match.
Chapter Three Down Unda Thunda
(I had made it to the building, gotten to my locker room, was getting settled in, when I hear a knock on the door. I assumed it was Alexis, as I had texted her to let hre know I was there, but when I opened the door, it was Claire Andreson.)
Claire Anderson: hey, Audry. Was wondering if we could get a quick word for a promo to go up on the website ahead of tonight’s show.
Audrey Russow: Now’s not really...actually, I guess I can. Always us for doing stuff for the fans.
Claire Anderson: Awesome! Wait, where’s Dan?
Audrey Russow: No Dan this week. He’s at home with Aurora.
Claire Anderson: Awe, was hoping she’d make the trip with you two.
Audrey Russow: Yeah, we just didn’t feel comfortable with it. She’s been on the road a lot with us lately, so decided to give her some time at home, and give Dan a little break as well. So, here on my own tonight.
Claire Anderson: Well, I’m sure they’ll be cheering mommy on from home.
(I try to fake a smile, but I guess she can see the tears welling up in my eyes.)
Claire Andreson: Is...is everything okay?
Audrey Russow: Y-yeah...I just...really stressed with a log of things going on. And...this tag match isn’t exactly what I expected to come to work for.
Claire Andreson: Well, speaking of the tag match. How do you feel about it? Do you thik you and Alexis can co-exist?
Audrey Russow: We’ve been through quite a lot over the past few months, but I think...regardless of what we think about each other, we do have the respect for each other’s in-ring ability, and the pride to go out there and give our best out there. She’s not going to screw me over because that’d be screwing herself over. Besieds, we’re trying to work on things, and I think a win here would go a long way in doing that, and building back the friendship we once had.
Claire Anderson: Friendship? After the war we’ve seen between you and Dan, and her and Haze?
Audrey Russow: Didn’t say it was going to be easy, but Lex-Alexis and I go way back...back to the original PWSi days. You don’t just throw away things like that. It’s going to be a process, but tonight is another step in trying to go that direction.
Claire Anderson: Well, are you at all concerned with the Squid-Man and Spudz Guzman Jr?
Audrey Russow: No, I’m not worried about Fish n’ Chips. Cute name, though.
(I see Alexis out of the corner of my eye, as she’s walking up.)
Audrey Russow: Sorry to cut this short, but I have some things to discuss with my parnter for the night.
(I open the door for Alexis, as she nods to Claire.)
Claire Anderson: Wait...can we get any thoughts from you Alexis, as to what we can expect out there tonight?
(Just then, we hear a clap of thunder outside, as Alexis just smirks.)
Alexis Mqkarios: Thunda…
Audrey Russow: (In best Aussie accent) Down Unda Thunda…
(Alexis looks at me, seemingly impressed.)
Alexis Mqkarios: Nice accent.
Audrey Russow: Thanks.
(Witth that, we walk into the locker room to talk.)

Scene One: And the rollercoaster begins… When: Right after Alexis left Riot Where: Local Airport
*The scene fades up at the airport, showing a private charter jet on the runway. The stairs were down and 2 people were standing at the bottom waiting- one being her husband James Younger. A cab pulls up right on the runway and a teary eyed and frantic Alexis gets out of the back with her gym bag. She rushes up to James and gives him a huge hug.*
James Younger: Everything is all set. Josiah took care of everything. I packed both our bags and got everything out of the hotel. It’s all checked.
*He looks her up and down, seeing the tears in her eyes.*
James Younger: Don’t worry, Lexi. We’ll make it in time.
*The person standing next to James nods in agreement*
Co-Pilot: I’m the co-pilot, my name is Ryan. The pilot has everything ready, we are cleared to leave once the three of us are on board. We have our instructions, weather is clear, we should reach our destination in roughly 4 hours. Upon reaching an hour out, transportation will be contacted and they will be meeting you as soon as we land. You are already cleared through security and your bags will be taken to the hotel for you while you to are taken straight to the hospital. Everything is all set, we just need you to board the plane.
*With that, Alexis nodded and rushed onto the plane, followed by James, and the co-pilot. The stairs are moved away, the door closed, and within a moment the plane takes off. We catch up inside the plane where Alexis was sitting next to James, trembling a little bit. He reached over and held her hand in his.*
James Younger: We will get there in time.
Alexis Makarios: I… I’m not ready for this. What am I going to walk into that hospital room and see?
*Her eyes, already a bit red from crying in the cab, swelled up with more tears that began to streak down her face*
Alexis Makarios: I’m not ready to say goodbye.
*She leaned her head on James’s shoulder and sobbed as the scene faded to black*
Scene Two: The rainbow after the storm Location: Undisclosed hospital, undisclosed location When: Roughly 3am, halloween
*The scene fades in with a shot of a clock, showing the time to be 3:02. As the cameras pan out a bit, you see a fancy waiting room with windows showing it was dark out, indicating it was 3:02 am. As the camera panned around the room, there are only 4 people in the room. Eddie Lopez, Jennifer Carpenter-Lopez, Alexis Makarios, and James Younger. Eddie seems… distracted… as he sat there, his leg bouncing and his fingers tapping on the arm of the chair. His gaze was directly at the clock, barely even blinking. Jenn sat next to him and noticed how he was acting.*
Jennifer Carpenter-Lopez: Eddie? You ok?
*He snapped back to reality and looked over at Jenn. SOMETHING was clearly bothering him.*
Eddie Lopez: Uh… yeah. I just…
Jennifer Carpenter-Lopez: You hate hospitals, I know.
Eddie Lopez: We should have an update by now. When was the nurse last in?
Jennifer Carpenter-Lopez: About 15 minutes ago… they took her to the delivery room.
Eddie Lopez: I’m gonna go find a nurse…
*Eddie gets to his feet and walks out of the room, quickly. Jenn, looking a bit nervous herself, stands up slowly.*
Jennifer Carpenter-Lopez: I better go make sure he doesn’t bother them too bad, and see if the rest found the vending machines. You guys want anything?
*Alexis shook her head no as Jenn walked out of the room after him.*
James Younger: You ok?
*She nodded, slowly.*
Alexis Makarios: I’ve had absolutely enough of hospitals recently.
James Younger: That’s understandable. But this is different. It’s a happy occasion.
Alexis Makarios: You’re right. Doesn’t make being here any easier tho.
James Younger: So… occupy your mind with something else. Like your match on Tuesday.
Alexis Makarios: Yeah… that’s quite a crazy match they have put me in. It’ll be interesting, that’s for sure. It’s been a long time since I’ve teamed with some one other than Heather… And it’s been YEARS since me and Audrey have even been on the same page. Speaking of Audrey… she finally got back to me. She wants to talk to me face to face Tuesday before the show.
James Younger: Did she say why?
Alexis Makarios: No… she said she had a lot going on and wanted to talk to me
James Younger: Probably just wants to discuss some strategy for the match.
Alexis Makarios: Could be. I dunno they weren’t even at the last show, so I hope everything is ok.
*She looked over and saw James grinning at her.*
Alexis Makarios: WHAT???
James Younger: Its nice to see you concerned about some one outside your little circle. Shows that you are making steps forward into becoming your old self.
*He put his arm around her and the camera focused on the clock… and showed a time lapse until it hits 3:40 before zooming back out. Eddie bursts through the doors, excitedly.*
Eddie Lopez: I’M A GRANDPA!!!
*Alexis jumps up and hugs Eddie as the scene faded to black*
Scene Three: Jealousy and tag partners Where: At the arena When: A few hours before Riot begins, 11/2
*The scene opens up with Alexis in her locker room, talking to Heather Haze*
Alexis Makarios: Look, I know you are worried about a lot of things with this match. But don’t worry. I’m a big girl…
Heather Haze: I’m not saying your not…
Alexis Makarios: I get it, you’re worried. If things were reversed, I probably would be too. It’s sweet.
Heather Haze: It’s just… I know how the Russows are, Lexi. You do too.
Alexis Makarios: Yes, that’s true. But, if this IS some strange Russow prank of some sort, I know for a fact that I am at LEAST safe until that bell rings. Because they won’t do anything that would affect Audrey negatively. So they aren’t gonna mess with me.
Heather Haze: Until after you two win the match. Then what?
Alexis Makarios: Who knows.
Heather Haze: Well, I sure hope your NEW tag partner will have your back.
*Alexis raised an eyebrow and grinned ever so slightly*
Alexis Makarios: I get it… you’re jealous that I'm teaming with Audrey tonight instead of you?
*Heather crossed her arms*
Alexis Makarios: It’s not like I asked for the match. Management just… well I don’t know WHY they decided to put it together but remember… just because she is my tag partner for this match… she’s not my TAG PARTNER… if that makes sense?
*Heather slowly uncrossed her arms.*
Heather Haze: So, this isn’t the start of the downfall of the Vixen’s of Pain?
*Alexis chuckled a little bit*
Alexis Makarios: Of course not. WE are besties, partners in crime, the Vixen’s of Pain. That isn’t going to change due to one randomly put together tag match. So, don’t you worry. I don’t even know why they are putting us against the stupid squid and the potato guy… it’s just… it’s almost like they just rolled some dice and picked random people for a match. But don’t worry… I can trust Audrey out there. WE can trust Audrey.
Heather Haze: It’s not so much HER i’m worried about. Which is why I’m gonna be at ringside to watch your back WHEN the rest of her family decide to mess with you after the match.
*Alexis tilted her head a bit*
Alexis Makarios: I’m not gonna be able to stop you, am i?
*Heather smirked and shook her head back and forth.*
Heather Haze: NOPE! You know how stubborn I am!
Alexis Makarios: Better than most. I’ll meet you at the gorilla position before the match, ok? I gotta go through hair and makeup, and they probably wanna get an interview to air or something.
*On that note, Alexis left the room. The cameras zoomed in on Heather, who did not look too happy, as the scene faded to black.*
