She couldn’t believe how much better that match flowed for her on her return back at the beginning of August. All her hard work down in Florida felt like it was paying off, she found herself working more with Sierra due to Lach and the birth of his sister’s twins couple weeks ago. Which to her was like Christmas. Sierra IS the PWS Apex World Champion, which is a goal....a far off goal but a goal.
She was being pushed to her limit every single day at the Wolfslair gym. She loved it.
Getting the call to be in Pittsburgh for her second match back was a surprise. She thought for sure it’d be a little while but here she is, taking on another former classmate of hers.
“Moondust.”
Morgan decided to get into town early and take in the sights of the Pittsburgh, she went and saw the University of Pittsburgh, taking the tour of the Cathedral of Learning, then heading into the downtown into Point State Park. That’s where she is now...sitting on the fountain’s edge looking out to the 3 rivers that meet at that point.
She smiles, “Sweet darling Moondust. The one of us that has been around a lot longer and has been up and down the road. I get to stand across the ring from you, not the same woman that you knew a year ago. I’m stronger, I’m faster....I am a different beast. I’m still the tiniest dog in the fight, but that doesn’t mean that my bite doesn’t hurt.”
“I have had so many wonderful opportunities to truly expand my horizons. I get why you keep coming back to this and you won’t let it go. It’s like a drug. It can excite you. It can scare the ever loving wits out of you. It can frustrate you and challenge you like nothing ever will. But we love it, don’t we?” Morgan smiles brightly and stands up heading to the shoreline of the rivers, “So that’s what I’m doing. I’m learning to really embrace who I am. I am the young wolf that will constantly work to get better. I could be the best, but I rather take the slow path. Just so happens, Moony....that one is thru you. I’ll see you soon.”
And with that she turns on her heels and walks up to a car awaiting her.
“Where to next?”
“How about that incline? I’ve always been curious about that.”
