Shawn has found himself a date. Brooklyn, New York. Wednesday 26th May (Off-Camera)
Over talking online for the past few weeks. After the PPV performance Shawn put out in the ladder match, a lot of women have wanted to meet up with him, especially after his aggressive nature of beating Tyson Sykes, a guy who was much bigger than Shawn. Shawn had met a lot of women online, but none of them were either his type, abusive women or some who had no interest in wrestling at all.
There was one girl who's the same age as Shawn who had blonde hair, was interested in wrestling and worked in a jewellery shop. It was the first time since he met with Tristen and other wrestlers in Apex he met someone new, but might very well be the first relationship he had, if things go well as they sit in the coffee shop, drinking some coffee.
Blonde hair girl: “So apart from wrestling, what else do you do in your spare time?”
Shawn Young: “Well, I like to play video games, mostly soccer because my mum is from Holland, but I also like Ice Hockey and watching a British racing series called British Touring Car series. I also started to get into motorcycle racing as of late as well. What about you, Ruth?”
Ruth: “I always love animals which is something we could get when we know each other a bit more, I like going to nightclubs, dancing to electronic music, walks on the beach and playing video games also. I have attempted to get into video games as a sport.”
Shawn widens his eyes, gasped because of what she had mentioned. Shawn drank his coffee as so does Ruth as he sees something in her already. Everyone walked past them since they were sitting outside, drinking a coffee.
Shawn Young: “I didn't think video games could be a sport.”
Ruth: “They are a great sport as it's about competition and competitive nature of game playing. Oh, do you like to play pool?”
Shawn Young: “I got a pool table in my home. Play it with a friend as because I'm under twenty one, I couldn't live on my own.”
Ruth: “He won't like, come into the bedroom when we have private time, will he?”
Shawn Young: “Oh no. He's the one who attempted me to go on dating sites.”
Ruth nodded and chuckled a bit, already enjoying the company Shawn keeps with his friend and being able to play pool side of things. Shawn saw a lot of sparkle in her eyes, wanting to get to know Ruth more. Shawn never thought things were going so well.
Shawn Young: “I also play Air Hockey in my home as well. We don't need to go to a pool place for all of that. Darts too, you like that?”
Ruth: “Not really a fan of darts, but I love playing Air Hockey. Well, you're under age at the moment to go to pubs and nightclubs so I can electorate that. You never had a relationship?”
Shawn Young: “No because I've been focused on my school work and being a better wrestler. I want to change that, especially this pandemic has been getting me down, even stopping me from being in relationships.”
Ruth nodded at Shawn as he responded as if he was depressed online, while speaking to her as Shawn shakes his head, having to tell someone other than Tristen the truth. He's finding life difficult and growing up to live on his own was hard, but something he had to do eventually anyway.
Ruth: “You did sound down when you responded private messages to me. Thought it was wrestling related you were telling me you had issues with?”
Shawn Young: “At the time, yes. I had problems, dealing with those fools who think it's alright to pick on people, a team known as Antithesis who beat the living crap out of me, but I think I've taken care of that now. Although their display on Chaz Holiday yesterday was sickening.”
Ruth: “I agree. I understand as it's been hard for me to get out of the house as well. I might be twenty two years old, but I'm missing going out, hanging out with my friends and having a blast. That on top of me taking me a very long time to get over the relationship I had with my ex boyfriend I want nothing to do with.”
It's something Shawn had been told in his life that there were some rotten men out there that could treat ladies badly. Shawn shook his head, not wanting to discuss past relationships and he couldn't with himself because he's never been in one.
Shawn Young: “Whatever happened with your ex who may have treated you badly, that won't happen with me. I know nothing about romantic relationships, never slept with anyone or done anything like that of a kind.”
Ruth: “I can teach you all of that. I sense you're nervous and worried, but I promise you, we won't do anything until both of us are ready. I can believe you will treat me good and to be honest, I've never met a man who's so down to earth and listens to what I said than I have and I'm looking at him.”
Shawn Young: “I'm glad I'm doing something right. I like you a lot and I feel I want to spend a lot more time with you. Oh and I love to bounce on the trampoline a lot. When I bounce, I feel free from the stress and worry I go through and it's expression from my body of feeling free as well. Much like me bouncing from the ropes and turnbuckle.”
Ruth: “I do as well, especially when you brought me coffee. You are interesting, more than your profile states online. I also like to go swimming which is something you could do, especially the diving boards if you feel bouncing and jumping off things makes you free mentally and psychically.”
Shawn nodded, he didn't think that swimming could be good for him as well as trampolining. Shawn scratched his head as they both drank their coffee's, having a pretty good meet up of Shawn looking like he may have found someone already and he had been out on a couple of dates, but he had no connection with them or they weren't nice to Shawn.
Shawn Young: “You've given me a good idea. Why didn't I think to put in a diving board for my swimming pool or why I didn't think to do diving? I thought bungee jumping, jumping out of a plane and trampolining were the only things I could do. But yes, I have no problems going swimming with you.”
Ruth: “Good because we can start doing things together. I realise you haven't gone out the house because of COVID and you having to be extra safe to not pass on the disease, but now things are opening up, we can do things together, more than just drinking coffee at a coffee shop. You could do with getting into more things and opening up.”
Shawn Young: “I'm sorry, I'm pretty shy, but I know it's something I must do if I want a girlfriend.”
Ruth flicked Shawn's nose as he smiles, helping Shawn to cheer up, having an great engaging conversation with Ruth. She was so interested in Shawn's life, more than the other girls he had met before Ruth.
Ruth: “Well you do have one now, but because you're new to all of this, we'll take things nice and slow. So about your mum, was she born in Holland?”
Shawn Young: “Yes, Amsterdam, but she moved to America to find a better life. She couldn't find a computer tech job there. Then she met with my dad at a nightclub and then I came as apart of my family. Now they are in the process of adopting another child to have in their life.”
Ruth: “That's great. You have such a loving family. I don't know my parents, when I was three years old, they dropped me off at an adoption centre and never heard from them ever again. I do however have an adopted mum and dad. Great people and they'd be happy to hear I've gone out and gained a boyfriend.”
Shawn Young: “My parents would be the same as well, always wanted me in relationship with someone for a while. I think we should exchange each other's numbers and I'll walk you back to your home.”
Ruth nodded as she pulled a notepad paper out for her and for Shawn to write their phone numbers down. As Shawn was getting his phone out, he missed a text from Tristen, telling him about his opponent. Ruth saw Shawn pausing, barely breathing, until he relaxes himself.
Ruth: “Have you seen a ghost?”
Shawn Young: “Nope, just Tristen telling me about an opponent that recently had a Apex title shot lately. Must've done something to impress Apex bosses to face Gracie Lopez. I totally have to take you home now. Got some training to do.”
Ruth: “That's fantastic. I see a title shot in your future. However, I need your number so we can contact each other.”
Shawn nodded, forgetting why he got his phone out in the first place as he scrolled down his phone and found his number before writing it down on paper. Shawn finishes writing and passes it to Ruth. He placed Ruth's number in his pocket. After he done that, Ruth grabs her arms and hugged Shawn. Ruth guides Shawn's hands and placed them around her body. Then Ruth kissed Shawn's cheek.
Shawn Young: “Thank you. I'll take you to play bowling next time we meet up, think we can do having some fun.”
Ruth: “I'd love that. Anyway, you got to get back and so have I so we'll do that now.”
Shawn nods as he disposes of the coffee cups to put in the bin, before he holds her hand to leave the coffee shop and only a few blocks before they reached to Ruth's home, hugging Shawn once again and a kiss on his cheek before she enters her home and closes the door. Shawn leaves her house and walks back to his own with a smile on his face. He gets in his home and closes the door behind him after a very successful date he had with Ruth.

Facing an opponent to the next level. Brooklyn, New York. Monday 7th June (On-Camera)
As he usually does, Shawn bounces up and down on a trampoline in his computer video room, being a crazed dog he was on the opportunity he received after having a heavy loss in the ladder match, but the loss to him in this stage of his career, but after things being said, Shawn delivered on his goal and stopped Tyson Sykes from winning the contract. Now he turns to his attention on the opponent who had a title match against Sierra Williams for the APEX title.
Shawn Young: “There's no better excitement I got in me, than facing against one of the top wrestlers, fighting in the main event on the PPV two weeks ago, a girl who recently took Sierra to her limits and doing everything she could to win, Gracie Lopez. I respect what you can do in the ring, respect that you took Sierra to her limits, to a point you could've won that match, had you been focused on your opponent.”
Shawn continues to bounce in silence for a while, since it's been a while he's bounced on a trampolining because of everything going on with his life behind the cameras. He wasn't going to and continues where he left off.
Shawn Young: “I also started the wrestling business when I was eighteen as well so I can imagine the pressure you go through with all of your matches so far in APEX. However, the problem I have is you talk about your personal life. Nothing wrong on telling people what you did. I don't know what sort of attitude on it and still got that anger streak in you.”
Of course, the problem Shawn had was he was just about getting over Antithesis who are causing nothing, but hell for Shawn as he shakes his head. Knowing the chance of them attacking Shawn again would be explainable. Shawn has a smile on his face.
Shawn Young: “While I have too when you saw me beat the living hell out of Tyson, just like I'd do with you if you start to bad mouth me because there's no place in this world for them. I will prove to you what many men can't do in the business, taking you down. We know your passion for wrestling, but it won't get you very far in this match because you don't have your next plan of action at all, seems you'll feel lost without a title shot in sights.”
Shawn takes a quick breather and bounces in silence for a while.
Shawn Young: “I'm not lost at all, you have a long way to go to get yourself back into title contention again. You talk way too much for a wrestling match. You been trained too many people to be facing me. It's alright don't you worry, you can't do anything to stop this Young Hit Wonder as I will do everything I can to knock you off your throne because you can't beat me, you tried so hard not to.”
There's something else on Shawn's mind when it came to Gracie's last video.
Shawn Young: “You got a hell a lot of trainers to get where you are today, but I have no idea why Wolfslair. You aren't going to go any farther because I will be aggressive once again because you paused me. Gracie, get ready for the road with this company because you can't stop this Jumpin Jack from delivering the goods in the ring because I perform for them and I'm going to put everything in match. I will be aggressive and do what I can to win, causing a massive upset. That's all I will say because I'm not addressing to every comment said. It's time for me to prove everyone won, especially a year before was M1r treatment. I'm going to win this match and seek other opportunities. Mark my words, I will win the match with a three count and you can't do anything to stop me from getting that win. I'm sure that team will come out and beat me, but it won't happen and I have no twitter to discuss things on. I'll see you in the ring tomorrow night.”
That's all Shawn had to say while bouncing as there was far too much for Shawn to disgust in his system. Shawn gets off the trampoline and goes back to the living room.

Proud.
(The scene opens up after an earthquake, no damage was done but a few things got knocked over. It was a 4.7, so no major damage was done but it was enough to shake Gracie from working on her nursery however. She’s working on the nursery little by little, she’s in no big hurry right now to get it done but the debut of her first born is looming in the distance. We see Gracie’s Aunt, Madison there. It’s night and day on how their friendship grew over the past year and a half. Now? Now they’re best friends and they act like they’ve known each other for years.)
Madison: Heyyyy! I wanted to say thanks for helping me learn how to cook last night. I mean, I’m not the best cook, but it’s better than making hot dogs or hot pockets all the time.
Gracie: No problem at all! You did well, kid.
Madison: Kinda why I come over when you guys have dinner, you make amazing food.
Gracie: I’ve been cooking for years, my grandfather taught me how. That way I didn’t have to wait for either one of them to cook me something. I started when I was 8 or 9, but it started off simple and now I can make anything with a flick of a wrist.
(These 2 spent 3 hours doing a cook live stream on youtube, most of it was goofing off and talking with the chat they had going, but they had fun doing it anyway. It was a stress free environment. Even a hard working person needs some stress free time.)
Madison: It’ll take a while but be patient.
Gracie: No worries. I got your back anyway so if you struggle, I’ll help you through it.
Madison: Good deal! My dad would have never helped me.
Gracie: Fuck your dad. I guess my dad told me that your dad wanted to introduce himself to me a couple of months ago, no thanks. I have no interest in someone who treated Jenn like shit in her life and then abandoned her on the streets like she was nothing. He can claim that I’m his granddaughter all he wants but it won’t change anything. Even if I meet him in the streets, I’ll just walk the other way, I don’t need his bullshit in my life.
Madison: Well…. I guess I won’t say more about it.
(Madison chuckles lightly. Madison knows how this family feels about her dad but who can blame them? Eddie even had a confrontation with the man a few weeks ago telling him off, and Gracie would be the same way if given the chance, but unlike her dad, she would cause a scene and would be ugly.)
Gracie: What would I say to him? Put on a happy face and pretend to be happy to meet him? That would never work and you know it. I mean I tried it a few times before and...just...it never worked. I have a good read on people and if I get a bad vibe from them, get away from me.
Madison: Oh, I know. It took you a while to warm up to me and once you did, we’re like best friends for life now.
Gracie: There were alot of things that went through my mind when I first met you, but we’ve worked those out.
Madison: Yeah we did! But, I guess we can talk about your upcoming match now.
Gracie: We could. This will be my first official match since Destiny’s main event and I’m ready for it honestly. I know I addressed this last week with a promo but I’m going to say it again, I’m not done with that world title. I got the taste of it and I want more of it. I don’t care what anybody has to say, they’re not going to stop me. Look, did I get beat by Sierra? Yeah, I did and I’m not going to make any excuses for it either. I’m a proud person who takes myself seriously, a normal person would make up excuses. She’s one of the toughest people I’ve wrestled so far, I mean there’s a reason why she beat Mack who is also tough, so I’m not taking anything away from her. I get it, I’m gonna be gone for a couple of months coming up and If I have to fight my way back towards her, I will…but I hope she realizes that I’m coming for her… if not…. I’ll make a statement she won’t ignore.
Madison: Speaking of that promo, I guess people are saying you threatened her.
Gracie: I mean….not really but if they want to take it that way more power to them. If I threatened the girl, I would have done it by now if I were “taunting” her. I’ll say this though, while I respect Sierra, I’m not afraid of her. Wasn’t afraid of her before our title match and I’m still not. I’m proud of that match I had with her, I respect her but I’m not done with her by any means.
Madison:Then we had Nick Madison throwing insults at you.
Gracie: Man, like I give a shit what that guy has to say. I really don’t. He’s just doing that to get attention, and it’s not working. I’m a bitch, so what. I don’t deny it, I set high standards for people, and if that makes me a bitch so fucking be it. I’m not changing because HE says so. I’m a bitch, cool…. But it’s better than being a condescending douchebag who’s way past their prime...
Madison: Hey!
Gracie: What?! What are they going to do to suspend me? Cool, I’m going on Vacation anyway, that’s some “punishment” there…. Oh that’s gonna me cry so much…. or are they going to fire me on my wedding day like some other company did to a different couple? IF they tried, I’ll just go over their heads. Even if they did that, I know a company that will sign me with a snap of fingers. I know Nick likes when people kiss his ass, but I’m not one of those people and I never will be. As a person who should know me, he should realize that but I guess taking chair shots to the head and old age is starting to catch up with him, or he’s just too stuipid. Could be a combination of all.
(Gracie shrugs her shoulders, not caring either way. At one time she used to respect Nick but as her career went on that respect started to fade away to where it is now, and she couldn’t care less either. Could that be why people call her a bitch? Who knows and who cares, she’s not going to change her personally for anybody.)
Gracie: Now, let’s get to the opponent that I’m facing this week, and honestly? The guy is talented. I’ve seen some of his work and his promo work and whatnot and He’s really impressed me. But none of that really matters now does it? I know he’s going to come into this match looking to pick up the scraps that Sierra left behind. Problem is, there are no “scraps” to pick up or anything like that, call me confident or call me whatever you want but I’m ready for this match, I’m ready to make a bounce back and if I have to use this guy as a starting point? I will.
(Gracie pauses for a second but she found out what she wanted to say next.)
Gracie: I know you’re still healing from Destination next, I’ve been in ladder matches before and there’s no way you’re healed by now. I was hurting for a while afterwards, but I’m going to use that to my advantage. I'm going to expose those sore spots you have, and you’re not going to do anything about it. But there’s another side to this match, I’m going to come into this match angry…. And I’m sure you’re going to use that against me right? Well, you’re wrong. I’ve never had an opponent use my anger against me in a match, ever and I’m not about to start with you. If you run your mouth about me, you’ll learn that’ll be the biggest mistake of your life. I’ve chased people out of companies for less, and I also make people suffer for their stupidity as well. Just be careful what buttons you push because... That will be the last mistake you ever make. You’ll learn what makes me a 7 time champion and an award winning wrestler as well, that i’m running out of shelf room for.
(As gracie starts to finish, another small earthquake hits and being from Southern California, she’s used to the earth moving from under her and she doesn’t care much at this point. It’s enough to move around the chandelier in the kitchen, making it sway back and forth. And her cat also goes and hides because the cat doesn’t like earthquakes that much as the scene fades.)
