Name: "The Ripper" Tyson Sykes
Hometown: Gorham, New Hampshire
Age: 28
Height: 6'1
Weight: 235
Pic Base: Chris Dickinson
----------------------------
Theme song: Tom Sawyer (Metal Cover) by Leo
Entrance:
'A modern-day warrior
Mean, mean stride
Today's Tom Sawyer
Mean, mean pride'
Leo's metal Cover of Tom Sawyer hits and Tyson Sykes busts through the curtain. Usually sporting a backwards hat and a cutoff graphic tee slightly too big for him that hangs slightly over his wrestling trunks, he surveys the crowd for a moment before speed-walking an intense lap around the ring. He then jumps onto the ring apron and climbs to the top rope, and it's anybodies guess whether you'll get some air guitar to Tom Sawyer, two raised arms, or two raised middle fingers, depending on "The Ripper's" mood that day. He then leaps the rest of the way over the top rope and circles the inside of the ring, jaw jacking with the fans or his opponent if they're currently in the ring.
Affiliation: Heel
Short Bio: Tyson Sykes is a 5 year Pro Wrestler from Gorham New Hampshire. As a teen Tyson got into a lot of trouble with teachers and eventually the law, before somewhat turning himself around. He got into amature boxing which quickly turned into a passion for Kickboxing and MMA. He lightly trained in other martial arts before graduating school to become a Gorham Police Officer. His tenure as an officer was short lived as he quickly discovered that his hatred of authority hadn't gone away, plus that mixed with his short temper and a very sarcastic/explosive personality wasn't best suited carrying a gun and wearing a uniform. From there he began training to be a professional wrestler, something that he had always loved but never considered as a career. Meanwhile he continued to do MMA and Kick boxing tournaments when time permitted. Sykes is 5 years into his professional wrestling career and has fallen in love with the lifestyle, and has finally found a match for his bold, abrasive, confrontational attitude. While very talented in the ring and building a small cult-following with those who enjoy the smash-mouth, no-filter, often dangerous approach Sykes take to wrestling, he hasn't made a lot of friends inside or outside of the ring and doesn't seem to be changing his ways anytime soon.
Interesting Tidbits -
* While he certainly isn't undefeated in either MMA or wrestling, an impressive amount of his victories do come byway of knock out.
* His nickname of 'The Ripper' comes from an interest in seriel killers that turned into a fascination when he joined the police force.
* Due to his bad attitude and general abandonment of the rules, Sykes is rarely seen in one company for more than a few matches.
* Big fishing fan.
----------------------------
Moves:
* Strike oriented; thunderous chest kicks, chops, and knee strikes are his best friends.
* Go to suplexes include German, double underhook, gut-wrench, Full Nelson, headlock etc.
* Go to submissions not included in signatures or finishers include grapevine headlock, cross armbreaker, Boston crab, ankle lock etc.
* Fighting style is smash mouth brawler, stiff/strong style strikes, not flashy but occasional dives (suicide dive, tope suicidal etc), and suplexes.
* Is also known to pull out Powerbombs, backstabbers, sentons, and other power moves in big match situations.
* Can absolutely hold his own in a "wrestling" match but will more often then not chose to brawl. Very much a 'hurt myself to hurt my opponent more' mentality.
Signature moves(5 min): NOTE: Sometimes uses signatures as finishers.
* The Ripper Lariat: Running clothesline to the back of the head
* Roundhouse kick
* Spinning back kick/Black Mass Kick
* Dragon Sleeper w/ grapevine
* The Syke Out - Trouble in Paradise kick
* Syko Bomb - Release Crucifix Powerbomb (commonly used onto things - tables, barricades, ring apron/ring post etc)
* Moonsault (sometimes to the outside, saved for big matches)
* Brace Yourself - Tree of woe running flipping sent on or double knees to the chest/head
* Death Valley Driver (often into the turnbuckle)
Finisher(s)(1 min/3 max) :
* The Kill: Triangle Choke hold
* The Heatseeker: Diving Double kneedrop to the chest
* Time of Death: Sitout Tombstone Piledriver
