#ooc Work has been a bitch, sorry, try better next time
The scene opens up on Trina Roberts as she is watching her last match against Alanah O'Connell. She was proud of herself for winning the match. She smiles softly as she sees her picking up the win. At the same time though, she wasn't happy knowing the fact that her girlfriend was taking time off due to her injury. Trina hated seeing Amelia having to take time away but knew she needed to. Trina had wanted to take time off to be with Amelia but knew Amelia wouldn't want that. Trina is continuing on, even if it means facing the person she just beat. Trina wasn't too happy with having to face Alanah again. She really wasn't happy with quite a few things really, like the fact someone she had beat got to go for a title at Destiny even. Trina was finding her edge, but at the same time was feeling lost. Trina sighs as she shrugs her shoulders.
Trina: Once again I'm facing Alanah when I could face someone I haven't faced yet. Of course, that would be too much to ask. I guess you have to be certain people in order to get that privilege. Seems like you have to be a certain type of people to even get quite a few things. Oh well, not like it matters.
Trina sighs softly, knowing she would do this match. She knew nothing would change. She shakes her head lightly.
Trina: Alanah we already faced once, I got the win. It was only your second match. Honestly, who knows, maybe this time around you will have better luck against me. Honestly, I don't know. I know you got more than enough on your plate, while I do as well. Sometimes things come up, sometimes there are things more important. I'll try to keep the things on my plate out of my mind in the ring if you can do the same thing. I will be honest, I don't care about any of this stuff going on with your family or Levi. It has nothing to do with me. All I ask is don't let it get in the way of our match.
Trina meant it too, she didn't want to be mixed up in it, she didn't care about it.
Trina: Really the only thing left to say is I'll see you in the ring Alanah.
Trina gets up from where she was sitting, walking out of the room as the scene fades out.

May 26 Chicago Illinois PW Apex - Destiny PPV
“Oh Bella...what have you done?” Alanah O’Connell whispered into the empty locker room, watching as Bella Madison stood at the entrance stage and smiled down at a bleeding Levi Russow in the ring, moments after she had cracked him over the head with a steel chair. Despite the pain in her ribs from her earlier match, Alanah got up from her chair and left the locker room, intent on finding Bella and getting to the bottom of this situation.
But just as she took a few steps outside the door, a hand gently grabbed her arm. “I wouldn’t go very far if I were you, love,” an unfamiliar British-accented voice said.
She screamed and whirled around, wincing as her ribs contracted painfully. Another hand came out to steady her. “Easy there, don’t need you any more injured than you already are.”
She looked up to see a black-haired, slightly deranged-looking man smiling at her. She froze in place, unsure if she should scream for help or attempt to get away. He must have sensed her nervousness, as he immediately let her go and took a few steps back. “Sorry, didn't mean to frighten you. Name’s Mack.” He held out his hand to Alanah.
She eyed him warily, but took his hand and shook it. “Alanah.”
“Yep, know all about you. Your man Jack just won’t shut up about you,” he grinned and winked at her.
“You...know Jack?” she said.
Mack nodded. “Friend of his from a while back. He had a feeling something was gonna go down tonight with his pops, so he gave me a ring, asked if I could come ‘round and keep an eye on you until he could get here.” He let out a low whistle. “Dunno if he thought it was gonna be this big, though.”
Alanah was still unsure what to make of him. “How do I know you’re telling the truth?”
Mack didn’t even look offended at the insinuation. “He told me to tell you to call him up once I met up with you. Said he’d tell you everything.”
Alanah hesitated, but turned to go back into the locker room to use her phone while Mack stayed outside as a courtesy. She scrolled through her contacts until she got to Jack’s name, and tapped the phone icon and brought it up to her ear.
It only rang once before he picked up on the other end. “Lanah?”
Despite her nerves, her face broke out into a smile at the sound of his voice. “Oh Jack, I miss you so much.”
“Same here, but I’m on my way. Look, I don’t wanna sound paranoid or anything, but I’m worried about what’s going to happen. Especially after that stunt Bella pulled. I’m afraid Dad’s gonna go straight off the deep end.”
Alanah chewed her thumbnail as she paced the floor. “Is that why you sent your...friend?”
“Mack’s there? Good,” Jack answered. “Look, I know he looks a little...rough around the edges, but he’s loyal as the day is long. He was closer to Chicago than I am right now, so I called in a favour. He’s gonna stick with you until I get there. He’s good people, Lanah, he’ll keep you safe. I promise.”
Alanah smiled a bit. “OK. Just...please hurry.”
“God himself isn’t gonna stop me. I’ll see you at the hotel.”
She disconnected the call, and gathered up her things. She walked out to see Mack leaning against a wall, idly flicking a switchblade. He looked up when she approached him, pocketing the knife. “Ready to head out?”
Alanah nodded, and they started to head towards the parking garage. Along the way, they could hear footsteps running through the halls, and Alanah caught a glimpse of Bella running hand in hand with…
“Malachi?” Alanah called out.
Sure enough, her brother glanced at her as he ran past with Bella, but didn’t say anything as the two disappeared around a corner. Alanah stared at the spot where they had disappeared for a few moments, unable to process what she had just seen, until Mack gave her a gentle nudge.
“Think it’s best we get a move on, little dove,” he said.
She nodded, and they made their way out to her car.
------
Present day Oklahoma City
Sitting in her hotel room, with the colours of the sunset painting the room in bright shades of orange, Alanah O’Connell just stared out the window, her face a blank mask. She was dressed in a pair of black leggings and an oversized T-shirt of her boyfriend Jack Russow’s band, The Back-Up Plan. Her dark brown eyes looked tired and sad, as she turned her head to gaze towards the camera as it focused in on her.
“So I get to face Trina Roberts again. Why? What’s the point? She already beat me, there were no titles on the line. What is the entire point of this? Am I being punished for something?”
She stopped and took a deep breath, closing her eyes in an attempt to calm herself. “Sorry, I shouldn’t be like this. I’m grateful that I’m even getting the opportunity to perform, but...well, I think you all kind of know what’s been going on. With my brothers at each other’s throats, my best friend showing up at Destiny unannounced and basically trying to kill my boyfriend’s father...who has been like a father to me, but now seems to have sided with some very dark forces…” Her voice started to waver, and a tear fell down her cheek. She sniffled and wiped at her face with the back of her hand. “Sorry. So much has happened, and I don’t know what to do anymore.”
She unfolded her legs out from underneath herself, and rose up to walk out to the balcony. She let the warm evening breeze blow over her as she closed her eyes for a moment. “You know what? I really should use all of this as my fuel. It’s nothing personal Trina...but then again, you did beat me at Destiny. So it’s a little bit personal. I feel like I let so many people down when I lost to you, so at Riot I need to win. I need to show everyone that I’m not a fluke. That I am ready to step up and take charge of my life. I won’t run away, and I won’t back down anymore.”
She turned back towards the camera, the sadness absent from her eyes and replaced with a fierce determination. “At Riot, I will claim my victory, and prove to everyone - and especially to him - that I won’t be a victim.”
